Another very interesting ‘useful weeds’ presentation by Crows Nests very own Lyn Wetzig. Thank you Lyn! 🙏
🌱 Lyn has so much knowledge and she talked about the backbone of all of our plants and the natural health and nurturing that can come from ‘the plants that just grow where we don’t want them’ otherwise known as weeds.
🌱 We just need to ensure we identify and handle them correctly. Lyn mentioned Lou from Circle 7 Plants Nursery has quite a bit of plant knowledge also if you want help identifying your ‘weeds’
🪴 One of my personal favourite healing plants is comfrey. I use Comfrey Magic by My Herbal Apothecary - Whip Tallow Balm Australia and it really is magic. Similar products are available at Bamboo Pantry also.

Stuff up notice!! Here is an update on Monday's 'Useful Weeds' with our delightful and informative Lyn Wetzig. It starts at 10am (not 11) and we are offering smoko!
So arrive at 10am and grab a quick smoko before we start. For $10 you will receive a cuppa and scone or 2 pieces of slice.

Our next Scones & Scrabble Day will be held on 26 October 10-12 noon. We are delighted to see an increased number of people as word gets around and people are playing trivial pursuit, mahjong, card games and of course scrabble. Feel free to bring along your favourite game to play. This is all about building friendships and stimulating the brain cells. Of course there will be scones, jam and cream with bottomless tea or coffee available for just $10.

Please rsvp! We would love you to experience the vibrant culture of Samoa at this year's international luncheon. Guests will enjoy a two-course light lunch of Samoan-inspired dishes along with an entertaining program including guest speaker, quiz, lucky door prize and raffles on sale.
The lunch runs from 11am-1pm and tickets are just $20 per person. To attend you MUST rsvp to [email protected] to avoid disappointment. If you don't have email, ask a friend to rsvp for you.
