Friends of Malcolm Creek and Grasslands are a local working group of Friends of Merri Creek.

We are volunteers that come together for regular litter clean-ups in the conservation reserve and grasslands surrounding Malcolm Creek.

A reminder that our June litter clean up event is this Sunday the 28th of June, 10am until 12pm 🌿🐞🦆💕

As we are well and truly into winter, please dress appropriately for the weather - warm jackets and weather-proof shoes. Litter collection bags, pick-up sticks and gloves will be provided as usual. Everyone is welcome! 🦋

Thank you to everyone who came out last Sunday for the litter clean up on Malcolm Creek! 🌱🦆🦋 💕 We braved the cold start and were eventually rewarded with plenty of sunshine 🌞

Three of our wonderful volunteers picking up litter from the banks Malcolm Creek this morning...who also spotted a kangaroo 🦘 and some interesting spiders 🕷😬

The parkland and creek is much cleaner now. Fantastic job team! We love your energy, enthusiasm and incredible efforts! 😍 Absolute stars 🌟

Over the past few weeks, rubbish from poorly securely household red bins have blown across Creekwood Drive and into the parkland and creek. This is why we chose this site for our clean up today. Please do your bit to keep Craigieburn clean by making sure your household bins are not overfilled and are securely closed when you put them out for collection 🐞
