Unfortunately due to a change of plans there are 2 tickets available for the Whayalla Players matinee performance at 2pm on Sunday August 2nd of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Cost is $55 each including bus travel to & from Cowell & Whyalla.

The Lions club of Cowell members were busy this morning with the kindy children planting vegetables, maintaining the worm farm, cooking biscuits and decorating bags, all in preparation for items for our stall in the library. All items are a gold coin donation - with monies raised going back to the kindy children for playground improvements.

Today the Lions club of Cowell started its mentoring sessions with the kindy children at Cowell Early Childhood centre. The Lions and children worked together to plant and make things to sell outside the library to raise money for the kindy. Come and see our stall outside the library- all items, gold coin donation.

At tonight’s Lions meeting , President Peter Story presented Phil Wake and Jack Kaden with 25 years of service to the Lions club. Congratulations Phil and Jack on your Milestone Chevron Award.

The Lions club of Cowell have had a busy weekend of catering, ANZAC day breakfast and Saturday/Sunday of lunch/dinners for a Franklin reunion. Thanks to all our members for their time and effort.

The Lions Club of Cowell thanks the stallholders, buyers & the general public for supporting our last market for this season on Sunday.
Despite the light drizzle there was a good attendance of locals & visitors with stall holders generally pleased with the sales they made.
As we have done for the past few yearts, the profits from the BBQ (approx.$500) will be donated to the "Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation"
It important to realise that Lions are a Community Service organisation and as such these markets are as much about getting people together, having a yarn (with old & new friends) & giving Community organisations the opportunity to raise some funds.
The next Market will be on Sunday October 4th 2026.
