**Engagement Blitz **

Thank you to so many amazing services for bracing the winter weather and being a part of our Engagement Blitz at Northern Bay P-12 College Tallis campus and Norlane Child and Family Centre this week. Such a great way to get to know the services available in our local community...

The Good Neighbourhood Project, Barwon Community Legal Service, Geelong Regional Libraries, City of Greater Geelong, Norlane ARC, Meli, Parent Pathways Geelong and others.

Due to the inclement weather, we needed to cancel this morning... but will be back tomorrow with Norlane Community Centre and Meli. Look forward to seeing you there 🙂

**Engagement Blitz @ NBC Tallis**

We're venturing further afield this week and hosting an Engagement Blitz at the gates to Northern Bay P-12 College Tallis campus.

This morning Geelong Regional Libraries and Corio Bay Sports Club were at the gates to greet families on arrival and talk about the amazing services on offer in our local community. Check out who else is coming below ⬇️

**National Reconciliation Week - All In**

To show our support for National Reconciliation Week, Hayley from Wathaurong Aboriginal Co Op came along to our weekly Storytime session and engaged in some storytelling with the children and parents / educators about her history, culture and traditions. She also brought along some sensory artefacts such as clap sticks, possum skin balls, kangaroo skins, emu feathers, weaving baskets and a small coolamon (used to carry babies). Thank-you Hayley for sharing your rich history and deep connection to country.

Our Place was also honoured to sign the Mingo Waloom Aboriginal Best Start Partnership Agreement, pledging our shared commitment to learning, respect and improving outcomes for First Nations children and their families.

"The partnership is grounded in respect, humility and collaboration between mob and allies. We value the cultural strengths within mob and how these contribute to inclusive and connected experiences for all families. We also value the role each partner plays in supporting strong beginnings across our region".
