Apologies for the late reminder but we're heading out this evening for another Coolamon Waters Night Walk - commencing at the entrance to the Travelling Stock Reserve on Bredins Lane at 7.30pm, before either making our way towards the bird hide - not far from where we saw this Ring Tailed Possum a fortnight ago (those with a keen eye might be able to make it out).

All who are game to brave the cold are welcome - make sure you're clothed appropriately including sturdy footwear and we'll see you there!

We had a great night out last night, thanks to the few that came along - we weren't too sure what to expect being effectively in town, a bit chilly and after dark, but we were successful in spotting plenty of possums as well as a few diurnal birds roosting up for the night.
Our next evening social walk will be the Kindra Night Walk on 24 April, hopefully we'll see you there!

Coolamon Landcare would like to share a BIG THANKYOU to GrainCorp

GrainCorp was a major contributor to funding our recently completed Coolamon Gardens and Heritage Precinct Project in the centre of Coolamon.

Without the GrainCorp Community Foundation Grant the refurbishment of the Historical Railway fence could not have happened.

Thanks very much GrainCorp. Pictures below show the finished result looking towards the GrainCorp Silos at Coolamon.

Thanks to all who came along to Kindra last night.

The pace was set by the kids and we managed to compete the whole main circuit in about an hour.
The wildlife were shy but a few of us did manage to catch a glimpse of a couple of brush tailed possums along the way.

Our next night walk will be on Friday 27 March from 7.30PM at Gulaman Galing (Coolamon Waters), meeting at the entrance to the TSR/ government dam. We'll have the option of taking a short walk to the bird hide through the wetland or to and around the dam in search of frogs, turtles and birds (link below).
