Message for the Collinsvale Landcare Group from Ash Carden (GCC)

National Volunteer Week is coming up in May and Council would like to celebrate our Bushcare program volunteers!

We are looking for 3 people to put their hand up to be featured on our social media in a short video interview where we will cover things like which project/group you have volunteered with, why you volunteer for our Bushcare program, what inspires you, your favourite volunteering memory or achievements, what you love about our natural areas in Glenorchy, and other similar things.

It's a great opportunity to get a lovely video made of you by our fabulous comms team, to show off to all your friends and family!

Please contact Ash if you are keen and she will be in touch to set up a time and a place to make it happen.

National Volunteer Week

We are calling on the Glenorchy community to help recognise our local achievers, volunteers and everyday heroes by nominating them for the 2026 Community and Volunteer Awards.

We’re looking to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their field, made a meaningful contribution to the Glenorchy community, and who are true role models for others. Nominating someone is quick and easy.

To view the award categories, eligibility criteria and submit a nomination, please visit:

If you have any questions or need assistance completing the nomination form, our Events team are happy to help, please call (03) 6216 6800 or email [email protected].

We can’t wait to hear the stories of the incredible new and long-standing volunteers and community champions who make Glenorchy such a great place to live.

Nominations are due by 31st March 26.
Thank you!
Ash Carden (GCC)
