‼️ A 7.8‑magnitude earthquake has struck Mindanao in the Philippines, forcing thousands of people to evacuate the area.

Our ShelterBox Philippines team is in‑country, working to understand the situation. With emergency shelter supplies already pre‑positioned in Cebu, we’re ready to support families as aftershocks continue.

We’ve responded to earthquakes in the Philippines before - providing tarpaulins, shelter repair kits, solar lights, mosquito nets, blankets, and cash assistance so people can meet their own shelter needs.

Thank you to Matt from the Commonwealth Bank for joining us at tonight’s sandwich-making workshop to present us with a donation from the Colac branch!

Their generous contribution will help us to continue our school lunch program, which now supports 10 schools in Colac and district.

We made 380 sandwiches tonight, thanks to our ever-reliable volunteers 😍. They’ll be delivered tomorrow along with fresh carrots and celery from Farm My School, apples, muesli bars and biscuits to help children who’d otherwise go hungry.

🥕 A little surprise has been added to the snack packs given to our Eat Up support schools today!

🍎 Along with a month’s supply of sandwiches, we also supply our schools with apples, muesli bars and biscuits.

Thanks to a new partnership with Farm My School at Colac Secondary College, we’ve been able to add fresh carrots and celery too!

🙌 Purchased with grant funds from the Costa Foundation, the veggies offer another healthy snack option for the students we support, while also supporting the flourishing farm program at CSC.

A huge thanks to our bumper crew of volunteers, Alan Billing, CORAG and the South West Community Foundation for your incredible support!

With your help we were able to make 390 sandwiches this time for our 10 support schools - fresh, delicious, and ready to make a difference in our community ❤️

We’re so grateful to have partners like you behind us as we continue to support children in need, one sandwich at a time. As we welcome 2 new schools
