At Community Bank Upwey & District and Emerald & District, we’re excited to share something special… our 2026 Staff Grant Program!

Each of our staff members was given the opportunity to choose and surprise a local community group they’re passionate about supporting. Because our team works with the community every day, they see firsthand the incredible work being done and were absolutely thrilled to support a local group with a surprise $1,500 donation. 💛

We’re excited to share these moments with you over the coming weeks.

1️⃣0️⃣ Our tenth presentation was made by Jacqui Scanlan, our Customer Service Supervisor, who works in our Emerald branch. Jacqui chose to support the Hills Arts Alliance .

Jacqui chose the Hills Arts Alliance "because of the incredible support they provide to other groups, festivals, and community events within our community."

Thank you to the Lions!

The Sandringham Lions Club generously donated all of these Share The Dignity packs to the Emerald & District Lions Club, who then passed them onto us at our Cockatoo branch for local women and families in need. Community spirit really does ripple outwards.

Having Olivelaine Disability and Aged Services here at The BASE complements the other fantastic community services available for our local hills community.

Communiuty services like the Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service assists people in the hills facing hardship. You can access their services at The BASE every Thursday & Friday between 9am and 12.30pm. For more information call 9754 7777, visit drers.org.au or simply drop in on these days.

Exciting Opportunities at THE BASE. Are you interested in tourism, business or arts in the region? Do you have some spare time to give weekly or fortnightly? Interested in meeting new people, applying your current skills and perhaps learning some new ones?
We have a number of vacancies for volunteer reception, admin and customer service positions at the BASE in Cockatoo.
Tasks may include: Greeting guests, answering phones, selling merchandise, tidying and showing people around, supporting the operations of the BASE.
Flexible hours, training on the job, fun team, central location with free parking. Creativity encouraged. Message the page if you're interested in being part of this new and exciting venture.
