To acknowledge National Reconciliation Week, our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Thursday class explored the importance of embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in early childhood learning.

As part of the discussion, we reflected on how books can be used as powerful provocations to inspire curiosity, encourage meaningful conversations, and support inclusive learning experiences for all children.

These photos showcase our students' learning, along with activities completed by children in our Occasional Care centre. Through storytelling, art, and hands-on experiences, children were encouraged to engage with and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and perspectives.

It’s been a busy week at our Epping campus, with all five classrooms in use and plenty of activity throughout the day.

A special highlight was Sundus’s Certificate IV in School Based Education Support (CHC40225) class, where students celebrated birthdays by sharing food and taking time to recognise the progress they’ve made in their studies so far. It was wonderful to see everyone come together and enjoy the celebration. Thank you to all our trainers and students for making it such a positive and successful week at Epping.

We’re proud to celebrate our 2025 Award of Excellence recipients — students who show incredible dedication and growth.

Meet Jeanette Larissa from Indonesia, recognised for her Health Service Assistant studies.

Despite a long 7-hour commute to class, Jeanette stayed committed to learning and building her future in healthcare. Through the program, she developed her skills, confidence, and career direction.

Her journey is a powerful reminder of what persistence and determination can achieve.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome our new employment partner, Nido Early School. They visited our ECEC students to share insights into their service and current opportunities, including five available roles across their rooms, with additional positions opening in July.

Students also had the opportunity to learn about their recruitment process, which includes a pre-placement interview. This unique approach helps prepare students for real-world employment expectations and workplace readiness.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting our students into meaningful employment pathways.

Yesterday was a special day at our Craigieburn campus as our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care class graduated.

It was incredible to see the pride and joy on our students’ faces as they marked the completion of their studies. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment have brought them to this achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Farah, former student and approved childcare provider at Early Foundation Childcare, joined us and shared an inspiring and motivating speech with our graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their journey.

Congratulations to all our amazing graduates — wishing you every success and happiness in your future careers 💐

We’re proud to share that our ECTP student, Lubna, was featured in the May 2026 Department of Education newsletter!

Lubna shared how the support she received while studying helped her upskill, build confidence, and grow professionally throughout her journey in early childhood education.

In April 2025, she received financial support through the Certificate III Upskill Support Program and commenced her Diploma studies through the VICSEG New Futures Early Childhood Tertiary Partnerships (ECTP) program, which she described as a “good incentive.”
