Need a super easy activity?

This moving paper worm is quick, fun, and only needs a few things you already have at home!

✂️ What you need:
• Paper
• Scissors
• A pen
• A straw

🛠 How to make it:

1. Cut a strip of paper
2. Fold it back and forth (like a fan)
3. Draw a cute worm face on one end
4. Place the straw behind your worm… and blow! 💨

Watch your worm wiggle and move along the table 🐛

Looking for something super easy, low-cost and fun? Try this! 👇
☁️ 2-Ingredient Cloud Dough
All you need:
• 2 cups cornflour (cornstarch)
• 1 cup hair conditioner
Mix, squish, and knead… and you’ve got soft, fluffy dough ready to play!
✨ Too sticky? Add a little more cornflour
✨ Too crumbly? Add a little more conditioner
Perfect for:
✔ Sensory play
✔ Moulding & shaping
✔ Keeping little hands busy
💡 Tip: Add a drop of food colouring or glitter for extra fun!

🎈 Kidding Around Cobden 2026 – Update 🎈
We wanted to share an update with the community about Kidding Around Cobden 2026.
Due to cost-of-living pressures — particularly rising fuel costs — and rather than passing increased event costs on to families, we’ve made the difficult decision not to proceed with a large, centralised event this year.
💛 Instead, we’re introducing “KAC @ Home” — with low-cost activity packs so families can create their own Kidding Around Cobden experience at home or with friends.
Postage costs are also high, so while packs can be sent out, they will also be available to collect from the Cobden Visitor Information Centre.
✨ Simple, low-cost activity ideas will be shared daily on socials to help keep the fun going at home.
While this means no on-site entertainment in 2026, we’re proud to still deliver something accessible for the community.
🎉 Planning is already underway for 2027, with the intention of bringing it back bigger and better.
