The Settlement is a place where opportunities are created through social connections, community led programs, access to housing and an open door for everyone. At the Settlement, we have community, we have kinship, connection and provide a safe place during hard times. At the heart of The Settlement we value and celebrate the diversity of every child, young person, family and community member.

Buroinjin (Buranjin) ❤️🖤💛

During Reconciliation Week, our boys had the opportunity to learn and play Buroinjin, a traditional running and passing game of the Kabi Kabi people of Southern Queensland.👣

Through sport, they explored culture, teamwork, and connection while celebrating the rich histories and traditions of First Nations peoples.🤎

We’re proud that the boys will now help teach this game to the rest of the school at there upcoming NAIDOC Cup at the end of the term. A wonderful way to share culture, build understanding, and learn together.🤝
