After a visit to Rochester yesterday, I would like to put a call out to anyone who can assist with stock for the Seniors Op Shop. They are short of goods , especially winter stock. There are still one quarter of people not back in their houses yet. Why not drive up with a friend, car full of goods, visit the local shops, have lunch?

Who said men can't knit?
Yesterday we had a pleasant surprise when a local tradie came to our sessions for advice. His work is in the middle of the table.
Wow!, we were all impressed at his work, can't wait to see it finished. A baby blanket with the name Billie knitted in it.

So with 2 beginner knitters, a wire worker, and creative textile maker, and a pile of mending, what a fun day we had.

Members visited Rochester, Fri 2nd Feb.
What a wonderful day we had.
We all took a bag of items for the Seniors Op shop ( oh and also purchased as well )
We called into the shops had lunch at the Cafe.
We met Basil the dog, 20 years old the night before, who had dined on Porterhouse Streak.
and chatted with the lady at the Patchwork shop. We were kindly offered a cup of tea whilst we chatted and decided on the filling for a quilt we are working on.

We urge all CWA branches, groups, individuals to visit Rochester, so up lifting for us and the locals alike.

We can't wait for our next trip.
