At tonight’s FNR meeting at the Lyrebird Community Centre we had a presentation from our McClelland Secondary College interact club. President Charlotte Doyle and Vice President Lea Velissaris gave a power point presentation of what they have doing for the first half their year and plans for second half of year. They held a very successful Colour Run with approximately 200 students involved where they raised over $5000 and the funds were donated to the PETA Murphy memorial fund. This June they are holding a cook off cooking Afghan food and funds raised will go to an Orphanage in Afghanistan, next will be a free dress day to raise funds for Solar panels at the College and then a school sleep in to coincide with the UNPLUG organisation. A very busy year and great fund raising for very worthwhile causes. Well done

Youth Service Month: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Model United Nations, Interact, Rotaract, Early Act and a lot more that local Rotary Clubs are involved in.

Today 5 members from FNR ( including our soon to be new member Jyee ) supported Frankston City Council with their opening of Sandfield Park in Carrum Downs. We cooked 200 sausages which were given away free to attendees. It is a great park and has a large dog area and playground equipment.

Cash is also needed, beside old phones. It costs about $75 on average to refurbish an old phone for use with a new Sim card and battery.
