By adopting a greyhound through us, you will have knowledge of the dogs upbringing, medical history and their racing career information. We will support you by assessing which dog will suit your family and lifestyle best, connecting you with trainers/breeders/owners of greyhounds who are looking for their next families and assisting in the transition phase of re-homing. We support all lovers of the greyhound breed, as well as other hound and dog families.

Doesn’t Austin sound awesome? That’s because he is!

Affectionate, playful and equally lazy greyhound all rolled into one big blonde hunk, Austin wants to be the solo star of the show and have you all to himself (no other pets thanks).

Austin is happy to go for walks or to play in a yard, being your typical greyhound he needs a lot of sleep to wake up looking this gorgeous. Austin loves all humans and will be a lapdog given half a chance, kids aged 10+ years preferred as Austin is a long, tall boy.

Austin needs a foster or adoption home by tomorrow (Thursday26/2/26) otherwise he will need to go back to kennel life.

Benji had a successful meet & greet this morning (28/02/26)
He will be going to a very loving foster family with lots of greyhoung experience as of Monday 2nd March.
We will let you know when Benji is ready to search for his for forever family & home.

Benji is a calm, affectionate 5‑year‑old (DOB 5 Oct 2020) looking for a loving forever or foster home immediately. He’s excellent with people and children, very well behaved on lead, and enjoys a daily 3 km walk that he gets excited for. Benji has lived with other dogs (Dachshund, Cavoodle) and does best with smaller dog companions, though he’s tolerant of most dogs. He’s used to a yard but prefers being inside with his family. The perfect home will give him daily exercise and lots of affection; if owners are out a lot, a resident dog companion is preferred. Located in Canberra — urgent rehoming due to interstate move.

Stones has started his trial adoption and is off to a great start!

A family is just a Stones throw away…..

Stones just missed out on finding his Valentine but it’s never too late to find your forever love ❤️

Meet Stones, a stunning 4 year old greyhound with a sleek, shiny coat and an even softer heart ❤️

This affectionate boy absolutely loves his pats and will happily lean into you for cuddles. Stones enjoys his daily walks, taking the world in at a relaxed pace before a big long stretch and snooze.

Stones is the type of dog who will quietly become your shadow and your best friend, he will always have your back and keep all your secrets.

Stones likes to sunbake occasionally and would like access to a small yard, a townhouse would be fine if you like short walks for him to toilet in the morning and after work/school. Stones likes other greyhounds and large dogs, not so much a fan of little dogs and definately not cat tolerant. Stones is very people focussed and loves kids and adults.

Urgent : Foster or Adopt home needed ASAP

Austin is 3 and love, love, loves people, playing games and naps. Austin has been fostered in apartments and is house trained, with routine toilet times. Austin is very loving and affectionate, is very cute and is the perfect housemate.

Austin does not like other dogs and for this reason, Austin needs a home where he is a solo dog. Austin likes going for walks and is very good company for someone who enjoys walks or hiking.

Ypu will be supported by the GC team and Snooter Brown - Greyhound Behaviour Re-Training to help Austin improve his manners when meeting other dogs on walks.

URGENTLY SEEKING FOSTER CARER ASAP

We are seeking foster care for 2 beautiful pet greyhounds in a sensitive situation so please no negative comments.

Boy and Girl hounds were adopted 5 years ago and are much loved family pets. The Mum and kids in the family are being assisted by the Salvos and have been placed in a motel for tonight but they aren’t able to take their 2 greyhounds in the hotel, so we are desperately looking for a foster carer for them for a few weeks as the family get back on their feet.

The hounds are used to living in the house and sleeping on the lounge and beds, they love kids and are very well socialized members of the family. They are your typical hounds, lazy, rarely bark and are most happy laying about in the air conditioning. They are not cat friendly.

The family will continue to pay for the hounds food and care and as soon as they have a safe place to go, the hounds will go back to their family. All you need to do is love them and keep them safe.

Please DM us ASAP to help these hounds and humans get past this difficult part in their life and turn 2026 around.

Update 25/1/26 - thankyou to everyone who helped share Gio and Bella’s profiles, they are pending successful adoption trials.
For those who expressed their interest, please consider adopting a (slightly) larger greyhound, we have 9 hounds waiting for forever families 🤞🤞🤞

Please note: Greyhound Connections is only assisting in sharing these details of the urgent and most regretful rehoming of these Italian Greyhound puppies currently located in Queanbeyan, no negative or judgemental comments please.

Two Italian Greyhound puppy siblings 5 months old, litter mates who siblings and were purchased together but are still young enough to be rehomed separately if needed.

Gio and Bella were purchased to train as service dogs for children with disabilities. Unfortunately the owner is unable to get a multi dog licence and have had to make the very hard and devastating choice to rehome the puppies.

Both puppies have had full vet reviews, all vaccinations and are on a regular worming regime. They have been working on training and both puppies are walking nicely on the leash and will continue to learn with positive, patient and kind training techniques. Both use a dog door and are learning fast although they are still very young so occasional accidents are still occurring from time to time.

Gio and Bella have been crate trained but they do prefer to sleep in bed with their human or being snuggled on the lounge.

While the family are unable to keep Gio and Bella permanently, they would love to hound sit them anytime the adoptive family go on holidays.

Mazzi turned three last Thursday & her birthday wish was to adopt her very own forever family.
Mazzi loves kids, treats, ice cream, toys & generally beind adored as she has been her whole life.
Mazzi has been a pet who has also been racing for the last 6 months so she is well adjusted to pet life including toilet training already. Mazzi is currently located in Goulburn & would love the opportunity to meet her future family any time.
