A huge thank you to everyone who attended the picnic today, I hope you had a wonderful time and made some new friends.

Thank you to the Simply Magick Co team for helping set up and using their own personal time to organise the day, you’re all a blessing.

The next picnic will be in 2027, but for any further witchy activities head over to The Simply Magick Coven for upcoming events in Canberra.

Just highlighting some of the Q + A from the event’s ticket page. It’s going to be a gorgeous day! See you from 12pm ✨

February has arrived, and our picnic is not far away! I’m very excited and can’t wait for everyone to come together and enjoy a beautiful gathering.

I’ve created a list of reminders of things to bring and not bring to the event.

Please bring:

Your ticket - printed or on your phone

A picnic - rug, cutlery, plates, food, drink, garbage bag for your rubbish, hand wipes and paper towels.

Sharing food with others is encouraged and can help create conversation and meeting others.

Sunscreen.

A handmade/local small business made/thrifted gift to donate to our gifting table.

Please don’t bring:

Alcohol

No selling of products or promotion.
Please do not peg anything into the ground if you’re bringing a sun shelter.

There will be four activity stations that you’re welcome to join in with, including a scavenger hunt for the kids.

Each activity station will have instructions on what to do, but please ask a volunteer should you need any assistance. We also ask that you be mindful of keeping the activity areas organised and tidy and make use of the rubbish bins that will be provided.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send a private message.

We hope you have an amazing Saturday making new friends and eating good food!

With the Canberra Witches Picnic only a few days away I wanted to remind attendees of a few things for the day.

The weather is predicted to be in the 30s so please made sure you are sun-safe and have a hat, sunscreen and stay hydrated.

Don’t forget to bring some food to share, and it is recommended you do note ingredients or label allergens on any foods. A picnic blanket is recommended as your seating.

Please bring a gift for our gifting table. This item you can leave on the allocated table when you arrive and then chose something to take with you when you leave. These gifts can be wrapped or unwrapped.

If you cannot attend the event, please make sure you cancel your ticket(s) via Eventbrite.

If the picnic needs to be cancelled this will be announced on social media 24 hours before the event, and email will be sent out to all attendees.

_______

As always, we will be supporting Roundabout Canberra who support local families by providing them with need care packages, clothing and school supplies. We would love for you to make a donation, no matter how small, via the QR code that will be available at the picnic.

_______

(Witch) Craft Activities

-Smoke Wand Making

-Tarot Card Making

-Kids Scavenger Hunt

-Black Salt Making

These activities will be free, but supplies (and Scavenger Hunt prizes) will be limited so please be mindful when attending an activity. If anyone has any lavender or rosemary cuttings they can donate to the smoke wand making, that would be greatly appreciated. A small jar will be required if you chose to make the black salt.

There will be a group of volunteers that will assist you with any questions and will check you in as we will need to scan your QR code/ticket when you arrive.

__

We hope you will have a wonderful time meeting like-minded people and create the beginnings of new friendships.

Thank you,

The Simply Magick Team

Have you got your Witches Picnic gifts ready for next Saturday?

Remember this can be something thrifted, locally handmade or something you’ve made yourself.

Your gift can be left on the gifting table when you arrive and then a gift taken with you when you leave.

What have you got to gift at this year’s picnic?

10/02/2026

An email will be sent out this week to all ticket holders with final picnic information.

We are looking at some very beautiful weather for the picnic. Please don’t forget your sunscreen, hats and water bottles...
