A cause for celebration! It has officially been more than a year since our Winyu Early Childhood Service was rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS) across all 7 quality areas. This accolade demonstrates our commitment to providing quality early learning and care for the families that choose to trust us.

We are truly grateful for the committed educators who work tirelessly every day to educate and care for children. Their passion and professionalism are the foundation of our success, and this recognition reflects the collective effort of everyone involved.

Five years with Haijing! Our Milestone Anniversaries Celebration Week is in full swing as we highlight our Centre Manager at Conder Early Childhood Service:

"Five years ago, I proudly joined this amazing team as a Lead Educator. Today, I’m grateful to reflect on a rewarding journey that has led me to my current role as Centre Manager.

During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, supported by YWCA Canberra that truly values its people and invests in their development. This trust has enabled me to step into leadership with confidence and continue strengthening my skills.

A highlight of this journey has been leading our centre to achieve an Exceeding rating under the National Quality Standards. This accomplishment reflects the passion, dedication, and collaborative efforts of our entire team, and it is something I am incredibly proud of.

I would like to thank senior management for their ongoing support and investment in my growth, and my team for their commitment and encouragement each day. I look forward to continuing to drive our centre’s success and achieving even greater milestones together in the years ahead."

The celebrations must continue! Hear from Jennifer, Diploma Educator and Currawong Early Childhood Service as she reminisces on her decade-long journey with YWCA Canberra:

"I remember beginning my journey at Campbell Cottage and joining Currawong Centre in 2020. I am very proud of myself for reaching this incredible milestone, but also surprised, as it doesn't feel like I've been here for a long time!

Every day brings new experiences and challenges to overcome, and I love showing up to work every day. The simple things mean so much - such as being greeted by my fellow educators, teaching the children and meeting the parents.

I also really enjoy the staff Chistmas parties, as I get to catch up with all the wonderful people in this organisation who I don't get to see often. I have met a lot of great people here - some of whom are my closest friends. I'm looking forward to what the future is to bring!"
