An excellent opportunity to take advantage of the Jambaroo Mountain Road being open to LIGHT TRAFFIC ONLY?

Important information on Jamberoo Mountain Road


With Transport for NSW undertaking safety upgrades to Macquarie Pass, Kiama Municipal Council would like to remind motorists that Jamberoo Mountain Road is only to be used by light vehicles.

The Illawarra Highway will be closed between the base and top of Macquarie Pass from Sunday 2 August for the next four months between the hours of 8pm and 4am, Sunday to Thursday nights.

Heavy vehicles over 12 tonnes and 10 metres in length are not permitted to use Jamberoo Mountain Road at any time as the road is unsafe for these larger vehicles. They are advised to use a detour via the Hume Highway, Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway.

Kiama Council is currently completing roadworks at Jamberoo Mountain Road, which will be closed between Misty Lane and Knights Hill between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday for the next five weeks.

Last weekend we visited one of the places that inspired Riders Lane to exist — Machine Alley in Collingwood, Melbourne.

We didn't just leave inspired. We left reassured. The conversation with their incredible team confirmed that what Riders Lane Canberra is delivering for our community is genuinely on par with one of the country's most respected workshops.

That means everything. Thank you Machine Alley - Moto-Social Workshop & Community Space 🙌🏍️

While Riders Lane gets ready to fitout our brand new Mitchell home, we took a cheeky weekend detour to Melbourne — because what better way to spend a fitout break than visiting your people? 🏍️

We headed down to catch up with the legends at Alley Collingwood to see what they’ve been up to, and we’ve got visits planned to Motorcycles and Racer in Cheltenham too.

There is so much good stuff happening in the Melbourne motorcycle scene right now and we always come home inspired.

On the road down, we stopped in Euroa and were genuinely delighted to find motorcycles lining the main street — including this beautiful BMW R18. We love a town that rolls out the welcome mat for riders. 🤍

More updates on the new space coming soon. It’s going to be worth the wait.
