Les Explorateurs Scout Group - Australian Scouts en français! Les Explorateurs is a unique Scout Group delivering the Australian Scouting program en français!

Based at the Ainslie Scout Hall in Canberra, we provide an opportunity our youth members to use their French language skills in a fun, safe environment, while gaining valuable life skills.

« Les Explorateurs » sont un groupe de scout unique à Canberra. Ils suivent le programme du scoutisme australien en français! Ce groupe procure une occasion aux jeunes de parler et développer leurs compétences

linguistique en français dans un environnement encadré et sécurisé où ils obtiennent de précieuses connaissances pratiques de savoir-faire.

Quelle fantastique randonnée avec nuitée jusqu’au Brandy Flat Hut réalisée par six de nos scouts Venturer !

Entre les belles conversations, les essais de nos repas déshydratés préparés l’autre semaine, les nombreux éclats de rire tout au long du chemin et autour du feu, ce fut un merveilleux rappel de ce qu’est le scoutisme — l’aventure, l’amitié et la création de souvenirs qu’ils garderont pendant des années.

Nous avons déjà hâte à la prochaine aventure, avec de nombreuses futures randonnées imaginées pendant le chemin du retour.

A great night of the Venturers doing a DIY gear making night - creating water resistant gear bags for the next hike and planning DCF ultralight dry bags.

Some also sorted badges on uniforms that had been getting lonely in pockets rather than sleeves 🙂

Nos Petits Lutins sont sortis ce weekend à Honeysuckle Campground pour un camp plein d’aventure - et bien sûr avec des s’mores ! Pour beaucoup de nos plus petits Scouts, c’était la première fois qu’ils ont fait du camping sans dormir avec maman et papa. C’était une belle opportunité pour tous d’apprendre en plein air.
Nous sommes très fiers de nos Petits Lutins !

Our Joey Scouts spent part of this weekend at Honeysuckle Campground for an overnight hike full of adventure - and of course with lots of s’mores! For many of our youngest Scouts, this was their first time camping away from mum and dad. It was a great development opportunity for all attendees. We are very proud of our Joeys!

Les Louveteaux ont récemment passé deux journées riches en aventures au Camp des Pathways, avec au programme: pionniers, tir à l'arc, utilisation de poulies et de treuils, et des jeux d'eau super amusants. Un grand merci aux Scouts Marins de Lake Burley Griffin pour nous avoir ouvert leur petit-camp.

The Cubs recently had two days packed full of adventure at the Pathways Camp, including pioneering, archery, using pulleys and winches, and super fun water games. Shout out to Lake Burley Griffin Sea Scouts for sharing their sub-camp with us.

The Les Explorateurs Cubs and Joeys had a busy end of term with hikes, damper cooking and a joint vertical night.

Les Louveteaux et les Joeys des Explorateurs ont eu une fin de trimestre pleine de randonnées, de la cuisine sur un feu de camp et une soirée commune entre les deux sections.

Quelques-uns de nos Louveteaux ont terminé leur aventure avec le Loup Gris par un temps hivernal idéal. Ils ont également profité de ce magnifique endroit pour organiser une Scouts Own et se remémorer leur expérience scoute jusqu'à présent.

Some of our Cubs completing their Grey Wolf Adventurous Journey in perfect winter weather. They also made the most the beautiful spot to hold a Scouts Own, reflecting on their time in Scouting so far.

This weekend a bunch of our scouts and adults took on a brand new challenge — diving (literately) into learning to scuba dive down at Jervis Bay, NSW with the ACT Scouts Scuba Team.

In total, over 12 of our scouts, venturers and leaders are getting qualified ahead of planning a trip to Vanuatu!

It was equal parts exhilarating and humbling for us to explore an entirely new, watery world under the surface.

Over four ocean dives this weekend, we had fun learning skills and saying hello to a blue groper, sea urchins, octopus and many “fishy friends”. Also, a great reminder of our fragile world.

Hopefully many more watery adventures ahead.
