Since 2002, we’ve partnered with Karinya House, who provide a place of safety, support and opportunity for women in Canberra.

It was wonderful to come together with more than 300 community members at their annual Home. Hope. Horizon. luncheon, attended by Snow Foundation Partnership Manager Megan Parsons.

We’re honoured to support Karinya House in their essential work, walking alongside women and children during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

This Reconciliation Week, we've partnered with Canberra Airport to display the Goods. by A Curious Tractor stretch bed in the terminal atrium.

In remote communities across Australia, standard beds are not built for the environment and community use. They can contribute to skin sores and Strep A infections, which can progress to rheumatic heart disease, a devastating, entirely preventable condition.

Our fantastic partners Nicholas Marchesi OAM and Benjamin Knight at Goods. by A Curious Tractor have designed the beds with Elders and community members, aiming to improve health outcomes by being completely washable and built for the conditions of remote life.

We are supporting the non-partisan Walk for Truth as it makes its final steps towards Canberra.

For 40 days, First Nations leader Travis Lovett (Kerrupmara/Gunditjmara, Boandik man), Executive Director of the Centre for Truth Telling and Dialogue at the University of Melbourne, has led the National Walk for Truth from Melbourne to Parliament House — an act of truth-telling, listening, healing and national repair.
Along the way, thousands of people have joined the walk across towns and communities, walking together in support of truth, reconciliation and shared understanding.
The Walk concludes on 27 May at Parliament House with message sticks and a petition on kangaroo skin to be presented to the Prime Minister.

For those in Canberra, there are opportunities to walk in these final days:
Sunday 24 May
9am-1pm: Spence Oval to Kaleen Shop Centre
1:30pm-5pm: Kaleen Shop Centre to Netball

Tuesday 26 May
9am-11am: Netball ACT to ANU, with an event hosted by (11:00–12:30)
2pm-6pm: Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Institute to Reconciliation Place

Wednesday 27 May
8:30am-11am: Reconciliation Place to Parliament House, opening with a Smoking Ceremony and concluding with a celebratory event at Federation Mall

We support this First Nations led work and the values it carries: building public understanding, strengthening First Nations leadership, and deepening partnerships across communities, philanthropy and government.

Register to walk or sign the pledge!

We loved celebrating Greater Sydney Giving Week alongside our long-time partners, Sydney Community Foundation and Sydney Women's Fund.

We joined the opening of the Sydney Community Foundation’s new hub in Newtown, a long-held vision brought to life and a shared space for connection and local giving.

We also took part in the Sydney Women’s Fund Charity Day, going behind the scenes with The Social Outfit, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and Kolkata Social. The day highlighted the vital work led by community organisations, from firsthand accounts of long-term support and outreach, to practical pathways for migrant women, offering a close-up look at the people and programs creating meaningful change across Sydney.

Together, these moments were a reminder that lasting impact is built through collaboration, local leadership and sustained investment in community.

Life Could Be A Dream opens nationally today!

Directed by Jasmin Tarasin, this powerful film explores coercive control through the lens of a mother and son navigating their way to freedom.

Palace Cinemas will donate $1 from every ticket sold during the film's release to The Man Cave, an Australian charity focused on preventative mental health for boys and young men.

We are proud to support this project alongside Minderoo Foundation, Commonwealth Bank, Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand, Palace Cinemas and Deanne Weir.

Years of shared commitment and collaboration between Canberra PCYC, CHC - Homes for the community and the Snow Foundation are coming to life at the PCYC Turner site, now being transformed into a 55 unit housing development.

The project will deliver 45 affordable rental homes for key workers and 10 social housing units for young people aged 16 to 24.

Recently reaching its ‘topping out’ milestone, marked by a launch with the Governor-General, the development is on track for completion in early 2027.

Beyond bricks and mortar, the development is about creating pathways, stability and opportunity. The site will include a social enterprise café staffed by PCYC participants, as well as practical construction pathways for young people, helping build stronger futures and a stronger community.

We recently joined partners from across the ACT for the second Men and Boys Wellbeing Summit roundtable, hosted collaboratively with The Men's Table, Menslink, EveryMan, Relationships Australia, ACT Policing, Consent Labs, Canberra PCYC, Worldview Foundation and The Youth Coalition of the ACT.

Bringing together voices from community and government, the conversation combined data and lived experience to explore what boys and men are seeking — including safe spaces, positive role models and meaningful connection. It also highlighted the importance of early prevention, active bystanders and stronger cross sector collaboration, particularly to better engage young men.

We’re encouraged by the momentum building through this community led work and look forward to continuing to learn alongside partners as ideas evolve and next steps take shape across the ACT in 2026.

Twenty-four leaders from 12 of our partner organisations kicked off the 2026 Lead the Way program at Wildbark Nature Escape — two days of connection, reflection and peer learning in a beautiful bush setting.

Lead the Way is our flagship leadership program, co-delivered with Social Impact Hub. We believe that when the people leading for-purpose organisations are strong and supported, the communities they serve thrive. That’s why capacity building is at the heart of what we do.
