Our hearts are shattered by the tragic news from Easter Friday afternoon, a motorcycle had crashed along the Monaro Highway at Rock Flat, approximately 20km south of Cooma and lost his precious life in a sudden and devastating Motorcycle crash. He is a young family man in his early 40's originally from Nepal. And his name is Vijay Maharjan (Johnnie).
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of a much-loved father, husband, brother, and son, following a devastating motorcycle accident on the Monaro Highway in southern NSW. A proud resident of Googong, he was a man defined by his unwavering love for his family and his quiet strength in supporting those around him. He leaves behind his two beautiful children, aged just 7 and 10, who were the centre of his world, and his devoted partner, who now faces an unimaginable future without him by her side. Whether it was the small everyday moments—school drop-offs, family dinners, laughter at home—or the big milestones yet to come, his presence was a constant source of love, protection, and guidance. His loss has left a deep and irreplaceable void not only within his immediate family but also among friends and the wider community who knew his kindness and generosity.
In this time of overwhelming grief, we are coming together to support his family as they navigate the difficult days, months, and years ahead. The emotional toll of such a sudden loss is immense, and the financial pressures that follow only add to the weight they must now carry. All funds raised will go directly to his family, helping to provide stability, care, and support for his children as they grow up without their father, and ensuring his partner has the resources needed to move forward during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and serve as a reminder that they are surrounded by a community that cares deeply.
