Welcome to winter everyone! Wow, it is really wild out there today, we hope you are all keeping safe and warm.

We are really excited about the upcoming Food Rescue Market in Cobden. Join us for market day 10-11.30am Thursday 12th June at the Cobden Uniting Church Hall. All items are free, the only thing you need to bring is your community spirit and a shopping bag!

This initiative started as a partnership with Camperdown Uniting Church and has expanded to also be in partnership with Cobden UC Op Shop and is supported by Corangamite Foodbank, Western District Food Share, Ritchies IGA Camperdown and Cobden.

We held the first Plates and Paddocks program over the weekend: what a time! We had a fantastic group of young people aged 14-18 years from all across Corangamite! It's a foggy morning out there! Stay safe while getting around on the roads and feel free to pop in to community house for a warm cupa and conversation: we have Social Games and Camperdown Playgroup on this morning and Crafternoon this afternoon but you're also welcome to come along just for a visit any time!

Last week was volunteer week, and as a primarily volunteer based organisation, we understand and cherish the importance and benefits of giving back to community through volunteering. Can you belive it is almost June already?! Where has the year gone?

Our annual Winter Warmer (soup & sandwich) program is starting up again, with the first being next Thursday.

Booking is essential for catering purposes, please call 55931403 or send us a message before Wednesday 3rd June if you'd like to come along.

Entry by donation and there will be a raffle and door prizes on the day.

We had a fabulous time on Thursday on our annual Op Shop Tour! A huge thank you to Nic from Cobden Coaches for her expert driving and getting us all there and back safe and sound and to everyone who came along to make it such a great day. We all found some treasure to bring home and had many laughs along the way.

We will be leading tours later in the year following the Business Corangamite "Vintage Road Trip" map of op shops and second hand vendors across Corangmaite, so watch this space! We also hope to fit in another tour further afield before the end of the year as well.

We have two really exciting events coming up!

Plates & Paddocks, supported by South West Community Foundation and Gardiner Foundation, still has a few places available - get in quick to avoid disapointment, this is a fantastic opportunity for young people aged between 15-25 years to access free and comprehensive training and work experience. Unfortunately we have to cancel the Food Rescue Market this week. The next market will be 10-11.30am Friday 3rd July at Camperdown Uniting Church Hall - we hope you can join us then!

In the meantime, the next Market Day in partnership with Cobden UC Op Shop will be 10-11.30am on Friday 12th June at the Cobden Uniting Church Hall (corner Curdie & Adam streetm Cobden), all welcome!

It was such a stunning sunny day yesterday, and the roses are looking pretty spectacular out the front of community house at the moment!

We’re open 9am-4.30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays & 9am-1pm Fridays; come and pay us a visit sometime! Free tea and coffee and chats for all 😊
