Thank you to Tablelands Regional Council for having us at the Atherton Disability Expo this week!

We enjoyed some great conversations with community members (100+ people with lived experience of disability, carers, family members, support workers, and organisations).

We also had the opportunity to trial some new interactive tools and listened to your thoughts about how public transport can become more accessible within the Tablelands (most importantly, for medical appointments) 🚌

We are welcoming the FNQ Connect team to our Tuesday Together morning tea today, where they’ll be chatting with our community about what matters to them and what they think our community needs. 💬☕🧁🗨️

As part of their 1000 Voices project, FNQ Connect is listening to people across Far North Queensland to help identify what is working, what needs to improve and where change is needed.

It’s a great opportunity for our Tuesdays Together group to have a cuppa, have a chat and make sure their voices are heard. 💜💙💚

FNQ Connect is so excited to launch our brand new Connected Voices Podcast hosted by local man, Raven Cook, and created in conjunction with JCU: James Cook University, Australia.

We hope this podcast will offer an alternative outlet for connection within the wider FNQ community and beyond, while also providing a platform for sharing stories - specifically for people with lived experience of disability, who are navigating the system in Far North Queensland.
