Well done to Jonas! 👏 FNQ Connect supports any initiative to make sports more inclusive and more accessible within Far North Queensland!

Read his story in today's Cairns Post:

After a skydiving accident left him paralysed, sports-mad disability worker Jonas Luetke turned his passion into action, organising disability-inclusive bocce and table tennis teams.

Why are we running a '1,000 Voices' survey?

Because FNQ Connect believes YOU (the community) should be given a chance to shape your own future.

Our initiative is modelled on a Collective Impact approach - designed specifically for addressing complex social issues. This involves bringing together community members, organisations and institutions - so everyone can work towards a common agenda.

If you dream of a better future for Far North Queenslanders with lived experience of disability and their families, then please consider filling out our short online survey. (You may remain anonymous if you wish).

Your thoughts will allow our team to identify the most pressing issues facing local communities so that together, we may create a shared agenda for action 🙌🏽

Great news for Far North Queensland 🙌🏻

Making sport more inclusive and accessible is a win for our whole community, and this latest step for para-swimmers in the region does exactly that 👏🏻

We love seeing local voices like Sophie’s helping highlight why opportunities like this matter. It’s a great example of how working 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 people with lived experience of disability leads to better outcomes overall 💙

FAR North Queensland swimmers will have greater access to competitive pathways after confirmation that a regional classification event will go ahead in August.

We are so pleased to hear that the treatment Tobias is receiving, is working so well!

FNQ Connect dreams that one day, more treatment options may exist locally, so that patients like Tobias and his family don't have to travel away from their homes, so often.
