Rosies recognised that there are high rates of poverty and homelessness in Northern Queensland, the Cairns branch was set up in 1992 to address this need. Since then the volunteers have worked tirelessly to provide excellent outreach services three times a week to t

hose in need in the community. Rosies operate a street van at Munro Martin Park, Cairns 7-8:30pm Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun which offers hot meals, soup, tea, coffee, Milo and friendly volunteers to chat with. MWANQ has a fundraising stall at theTanks Markets (Botanical Gardens) on the last Sunday Saturday of the month from April to November. Funds raised go towards preparation and distribution of hot meals for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness as well as other projects that MWANQ are undertaking.
