Salty Frogs Beach Clean-Up

Salty Frogs Beach Clean-Up On a mission to cleanup our Aussie shores! Two longtime surfer buddies dedicated to cleaning up our shores in the South West region.

Our beaches are becoming a dump for human waste and action needs to be taken to prevent our beautiful environment/wildlife becoming endangered.

๐ŸŒŠ Calling all warriors near Margaret River, letโ€™s Sip nโ€™ Sort!

Once youโ€™ve hit the beaches, join us at Margaret River Brewhouse to sort your collected marine debris into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database. Thenโ€ฆ relax, raise a glass, and soak in the vibe! ๐Ÿปโœจ

Why sort? Because recording what we find (and where) helps us trace, prevent, and act on plastic pollution at its source.

Results from a cleanup a few weeks back, debris totalling 42.5 kgโ€™s including 37kgs of fishing nets and ropes forming a tangled mess.
In all the beach was relatively free from masses of rubbish for a change.
Huge thanks to Michael Ostigh for his help in getting the rope off the beach.
This cleanup took place north of surf break Moses Rock. One concerning find was the plastic pegs used for beach restoration which inevitably made there way into the ocean.
This beach is cleaner. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿธ
