🌞🌴 Exciting things are happening behind the scenes at Cycling Without Age Burringbar! 🌊🚲

This Tuesday, our amazing volunteers will be heading to Kingscliff for trial rides as we prepare to offer occasional Tuesday rides along the stunning beachfront and river boardwalk, and around the beautiful Tweed River and Jack Evans Harbour.

We're not quite ready to take bookings yet. We'll let you know as soon as bookings open.

A huge thank you to Tweed Council for their support in helping make these new experiences possible for our community.

Our dedicated volunteers have been quietly working behind the scenes to create new ride opportunities for people to experience the beauty of the Tweed. These rides will give passengers the chance to enjoy some of the Tweeds picturesque locations from the comfort of our trishaws, taking in the fresh sea breeze, scenic waterways, and vibrant community atmosphere.

The new rides will be offered occasionally—once or twice each month—allowing us to explore these wonderful locations while continuing to provide the meaningful experiences that Cycling Without Age is known for.

Because everyone deserves to feel the wind in their hair, enjoy the fresh air, and stay connected to their community. 💙

And don't worry—our popular Wednesday and Thursday rides at Burringbar will continue as usual.

Stay tuned for more updates. We can't wait to share these exciting new adventures with you! 🚲🌴🌞

🌧️ Good Morning everyone 🌧️

With the rain back again this week, we’ve made the decision to shut for the week. Safety and comfort for our passengers and volunteers always comes first. 💙

We’ll hopefully see you all again next week when the sunshine returns! ☀️

Until then, keep dry, make yourself a nice cuppa, put your feet up ☕

🌊 Thanks for Letting Us Know! 🌊

A HUGE thank you to everyone who responded to our new ride location ideas! 💙
It’s so exciting to know we’re planning rides in places that so many of you are looking forward to exploring with us.

Thanks to Tweed Council, we now have permission to take our service to:
🏖️ Kingscliff Beach & Boardwalk
🌿 Tweed River & Jack Evans Harbour
📅 Tuesdays

These beautiful new locations will give our passengers even more opportunities to enjoy the fresh air, stunning scenery, community connection, and the simple joy of feeling the wind in their hair. 😊

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working through transport logistics, ride schedules, timings, and how many rides we’ll be able to offer in these exciting new locations.

Once everything is finalised, we’ll share all the details here on our page — so stay tuned! 👀

We can’t wait to create new memories and bring more joy, connection, and inclusion to people across our community. 💙

🎉 News About Our Rides 🎉

From Tuesday 6 May through to the end of the month, our Tuesday tunnel rides will be taking a short break.

But… we’ve got some exciting news! 👀

We’re looking at two beautiful new ride locations:
🌊 The stunning Kingscliff beachfront and along the river boardwalk
🌿 Scenic rides along the Tweed River and around Jack Evans Harbour (now with plenty of parking and easy access along the river since the hospital closed)

These special rides would run occasionally on Tuesdays, giving our passengers even more ways to enjoy this incredible part of the world. Because really… why not experience it by trishaw? 💛

We’re so excited about the opportunity to share more of the Tweed with our passengers.

👉 What’s staying the same?
We’ll still be riding in Burringbar every Wednesday and Thursday — no changes there.

We’re just finalising a few details before confirming dates, with plans to hopefully get started in the next couple of months.

💬 Now we’d love your input!
Would you be interested in these new ride locations?
Our rides are for seniors and people with disabilities.

If this sounds like something you (or someone you know) would enjoy, please let us know in the comments on this post — your feedback will really help us shape what we offer. Please don't email your feedback.

⚠️ Please note:
👉 We are NOT taking bookings at this stage
👉 There is NO waiting list
👉 We’re simply gauging interest right now

Thank you for being part of our journey 💛

What is that in the sky? It’s been so long we had to do a double take… yes, that really is the sun!
There are still a few clouds hanging around, so everyone cross your fingers and toes
After what feels like an endless stretch of rain, it looks like the trishaws might finally be rolling again this week!
We’re so excited to get back out on the trail, feel the fresh air, and catch up with everyone who’s booked in.
See you at Burringbar.

Well… the sky has decided the gardens in Burringbar need a good watering today 🌧️

For everyone’s safety and comfort, our volunteers are staying home and the trishaws are taking a well-earned rest.

But don’t worry—we’ll be back next week doing what we love most: getting out on the trail and sharing a laugh, a story, and fresh air with you all on a trishaw adventure 🚲💛

Stay dry and we’ll see you next week.
