We're a NFP initiative offering free trishaw rides for seniors and people with disabilities, powered by our trained volunteers along the Rail Trail and around Tweed.

💚 A BIG THANK YOU TO TWEED SHIRE COUNCIL! 💚

Cycling Without Age – Burringbar (CWAB) is incredibly grateful to be a recipient of the 2026 Tweed Shire Council Community Grants Program! 🎉

The generous grant will help us purchase essential new equipment, including:
🔋 Battery chargers to keep our trishaws ready to ride
🐍 Snake and spider bite kits to support passenger and volunteer safety
👕 Uniforms for our growing team of amazing volunteers
📍 New signage to make it easier for people to find us!

Every dollar makes a difference and helps us continue providing free trishaw rides to seniors, people with disabilities and others in our Tweed community who may otherwise miss out on the joy of getting outdoors, connecting with others and enjoying the beautiful Northern Rivers Rail Trail. 🚲💚

A huge thank you to Tweed Shire Council for supporting our volunteer-powered service. It's through community partnerships and generous support like this that we can keep making a positive difference in people's lives.

Together, we're creating connections, building inclusion and making sure no one is left behind! 💚

We always find our last few weeks of the year are very busy, so don’t leave it until the last minute to book.

🏖️ Kingscliff Beach Rides at Faulks Park Kingscliff 9.30 - last ride at 11.30

🌊 Tweed River Rides at John Follent Park Keith Compton Drive 9.30 - last ride at 11.30

Kingscliff & Tweed River rides have a maximum combined passenger weight of 160kg.

🚵 Adventure Tuesdays – Northern Rivers Rail Trail
On the other Tuesdays, we head out for an hour of adventure along the gravel section of the Rail Trail!

These rides are bumpy, with hills and gullies, so they’re not suitable for everyone.

Please note Adventure Tuesday rides:

One passenger per trishaw
Maximum passenger weight: 90 kg due to the hillclimbs and gullies along the route.

🌿 Wednesday and Thursday Classic Rides: Burringbar to Mooball and Return
Enjoy the beautiful Northern Rivers Rail Trail as we ride from Burringbar to Mooball and back from 9am to last ride 11.30.

2 passengers Maximum combined passenger weight limit is 160kg.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and scenery along the way.

🏆 WHAT A WONDERFUL AFTERNOON FOR CWAB! 🏆

Today, some of our CWAB team had the privilege of attending the NSW Volunteer Awards at Twin Towns — and what a special afternoon it was!

While we didn’t take home the Volunteer Team of the Year award, we were incredibly proud to be nominated and humbled to be in the company of so many amazing and worthy volunteers and organisations.

But there was a very special reason for us to celebrate…

🎉 A huge congratulations to Kieran for his work as our Secretary 🎉

Kieran was announced as the Northern Rivers Senior Volunteer of the Year! 🏆

This is an incredible achievement and a wonderful recognition of the dedication & commitment Kieran gives to Cycling Without Age – Burringbar and to our wider community.

Kieran will now head to Sydney, where he will be in the running for the NSW Senior Volunteer of the Year Award. We’ll certainly be cheering him on every step of the way!

In just two years, look how far our little chapter has come!

Today is a very proud day for us. 🎉❤️

🚲🌊 We’re heading back to Kingscliff Beach next Tuesday, 6 October.🌊🚲

Our team will be back at Faulks Park, Kingscliff, ready to take you on a relaxing ride along the beautiful Kingscliff coastline and river boardwalk. 💙

🎄 With only 3 more Kingscliff rides before we break for Christmas, now is a great time to join us!

🌿🚲 Today was just right! 🚲🌿

A lovely morning after a little sprinkle of rain, followed by the sunshine breaking through — perfect riding weather! ☀️🌦️

That certainly didn’t stop our volunteers from getting out there and taking Rhonda and Jeff for a relaxing ride along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail and through the Burringbar Range Tunnel.

It was their first time riding with us, and we have a feeling it won’t be their last! 🚲💚

And what a morning it was… we pretty much had the trail all to ourselves! No crowds, just the beautiful rainforest, fresh air and the peaceful sounds of the trail. 🌳🌿

This morning reminded us why we love what we do — sharing the joy of being outdoors, having a chat, enjoying the scenery and simply taking the time to slow down and enjoy the ride from the comfort of our trishaws. 💚

⏰ DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME REMINDER & OUR SUMMER RIDE SCHEDULE STARTS ⏰

☀️ SUMMER RIDE SCHEDULE

From Monday 5 October, our Summer ride schedule starts!

Our Wednesday & Thursday rides will then start at 9:00am, with the last ride at 11:30am.
Our Tuesday Adventure rides on the NRRT will be at 9 and 10 am only

⏰ DAYLIGHT SAVING STARTS

Daylight Saving starts in NSW on Sunday 4 October at 2:00am, when clocks move forward one hour.

This means that from Sunday, NSW will be 1 hour ahead of Queensland (QLD).

If you have a booking with us from Monday 5 October onwards, please remember to allow for the time difference when planning your journey and make sure you arrive in plenty of time for your ride.

We don't want you to miss out on your ride! 💙

🌸 What a perfect morning! 🌸

The weather was just right — warm sunshine, a gentle breeze, and plenty of smiles! ☀️💨

We were joined by Linda and Prudence, the pink cowgirls, complete with their fabulous parasols. 🤠🌸 What a couple of characters! They certainly brought plenty of fun and laughter along for the ride. 😂

Then we had the absolute pleasure of taking Marie on an adventure to Burringbar Tunnel. At 90 years young, Marie is still very much up for a bit of adventure — and we have a feeling this won’t be the last time we see her! 💕🏍️

A huge thank you to all the wonderful ladies who came along and spent the morning with us. You made it such a fun and memorable day. ❤️

Good company, great weather, plenty of laughs and a little adventure — what more could you ask for? 🌸🤠✨

🌞 Well, we know why we were fully booked yesterday! 🌞
The weather was glorious, the water was crystal clear, and the Tweed River was looking absolutely beautiful. 💙🌴

We spent a wonderfully relaxing morning cruising along the Tweed River and Jack Evans Harbour with Team Lemonade — what a fun bunch of people! 🍋😄

And it was lovely to welcome Jodie and her friends, who travelled all the way from Ballina to enjoy the tranquillity of the river with us. 💙

There really is something special about slowing down, enjoying the sunshine, having a chat and simply taking in the beautiful surroundings. ☀️🌿

Next Tuesday, we’re heading to the beautiful Tweed River for a relaxing morning of sunshine, fresh air and wonderful views. 🌊

We still have a couple of seats available at 9.30am — so if you’re looking for something a little different, why not come along and enjoy the ride with us? 😊

We visit the Tweed River on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, so there are only three more opportunities to join us on this ride in 2026.
