🧡 The Final 5.4km — One Foot Forward to Buddy Brewing! 🧡

Tomorrow Sunday 26 Oct we are walking our final 5.4km and you’re invited to join us!

We’re wrapping up our One Foot Forward challenge with a final 5.4 km stroll down Station Rd — finishing at Buddy Brewing for a cold one (or two 🍻).

📍 Meet 1:15 pm – Woolworths Narangba (front entrance)
🚶‍♀️ Walk starts 1:30 pm sharp as we head towards Burpengary.
🎶 We aim to arrive by 3pm so even if you can’t make the walk come down and catch C**t Thomas Jnr live from 3 pm @ Buddy Brewing

After walking 150 km across the City of Moreton Bay and raising almost $5,000, Team Cheers for Change is ready to celebrate — no race, no pressure, just good people, good vibes and a great cause 💛

I’ve struggled with my own mental health. I’ve walked beside people I love through their darkest days. And I lost my husband, Patrick, to su***de in 2023.

The truth is, mental health affects everyone. 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year. That’s your friends, your family, your workmates. It’s all of us.

In 6 days, I begin walking a 150km challenge because this conversation will save lives. And because my kids deserve to see what it looks like to stand up for change.

Last year, so many of you walked beside me (and cheered me on) for One Foot Forward. Together, we turned conversations into action and steps into change.

This year, I’m back, and I’m inviting you to join me.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. It’s a reminder of why I walk: for the lives cut too short, for the families left with empty chairs at their tables, and for everyone still fighting silent battles every day.

This October, I’m leading the Cheers to Change team again. Last year we raised an incredible $15k but honestly, it’s never just about the numbers. It’s about walking in honour, in memory, in support, and in hope.
