Walk With Us Walk With Us is a grassroots community built on kindness and care. Our philosophy is simple: be a good human! The group meets monthly.

Since 2015, we’ve supported those experiencing homelessness, disadvantaged youth, individuals facing mental health struggles, and DV survivors. Walk With Us is a not for profit organisation that was established in 2015 and supports those experiencing homelessness. Walk With Us also supports youth, those experiencing mental health issues and domestic violence. Walk With Us is an evolving, organic,

grass roots led organisation that continues to adapt to the needs of the community that they serve. Walk With Us provides a weekly service that includes sit down hot dinner for approximately 50 people which is located in Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast. Youth Collective a sister project to Walk With Us and was established in 2022. These services integrate the further needs of these communities. It is a space where referrals for services are able to be facilitated to harness the needs of the individuals attending the service. It is also a space for inclusion of community and connection. An annual Christmas Lunch is held and the work of Walk With Us is self-funded through fundraising, donations and grants when the opportunity presents. Follow us on Instagram

We’re firing up the BBQ at Burleigh Heads Bunnings for a fundraiser, and we’d love a few helping hands to make the day run smoothly.

This support helps us continue feeding families, supporting locals in crisis, and showing up where we’re needed most.

🌭 Three Shifts Available:
🕒 7:00am – 10:00am
🕒 10:00am – 1:00pm
🕒 1:00pm – 4:00pm

If you can spare a couple of hours, we’d be so grateful.

There is something truly special about waking up before the world gets busy. The quiet, the fresh morning air, the gentle light of a new day—it reminds us that every sunrise is another chance to begin again.

Take a moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the simple gift of a new morning. Enjoy your coffee a little longer, listen to the birds, watch the sky change colours, and be grateful for the little moments that often become the biggest blessings. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that have the biggest impact on us.

No matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh start. Remember to enjoy life, choose happiness and be kind. Tomorrow is never promised. So enjoy that sunrise or sunset, tell the ones you care about that you love them and choose to do the scary things. Happy Thursday WWU fam ❤️
