💜 May is DFV-Free Month 💜

At Impact ACADEMY, our message is clear:
‘DFV Free starts with You & Me + Community’

This important campaign is being led by our dedicated team, with Teacher Nicole Anderson leading the charge and Principal Jenna Auer ensuring this message is seen, heard, and felt across our entire school community.

If you’re passing by our school this month, take a moment to look towards our building. Our students have created a powerful artwork display that proudly shares this message and raises awareness about Domestic and Family Violence.

We’ve also challenged our whole school community to wear something purple every day in May as a visible stand against DFV 💜

This morning, during our wellbeing check-in, our students took part in a meaningful activity, painting their hands on our windows to show unity and commitment, sending a strong message:
✨ “DFV Free starts with You & Me + Community”

Students then had the opportunity to create their own ‘something purple’ to wear or display throughout the month, showing creativity, compassion, and courage.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students and staff are stepping up, speaking out, and standing together.

🏆🎉 Stacking cups & Mini Olympics fun! 🎉🏆
What an exciting day of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition! Our Year 12 students had an amazing time taking part in cup stacking challenges and our very own 2026 Mini Olympics.

From lightning fast cup pyramids to races and team games, everyone gave it their all and showed fantastic school spirit. It was wonderful to see students cheering each other on, trying new activities, and celebrating each other’s achievements.

A big shout out to our teacher Nicole for organising such a fun and active lesson, these are the memories our year 12 students will carry with them for years to come!

Here’s to staying active, building confidence, and enjoying every moment!

🔍 Science fun with fingerprints! 🔍

This term our Year 10 young scientists got hands‑on (literally!) as we explored the fascinating world of fingerprints. Students learned that everyone has their own unique pattern made up of loops, whorls, and arches; no two sets are the same!

With ink pads and plenty of curiosity, students compared fingerprints with their classmates, searched for matching patterns, and discovered just how amazing our bodies really are.

The excitement in the room was contagious as students became mini‑detectives, analysing prints and uncovering the tiny details that make each fingerprint one‑of‑a‑kind.

What an awesome mix of science, mystery, and fun! 🧪🕵️‍♀️

We love seeing our Year 10 students so engaged and eager to explore the world around them!
