Today we teamed up with Stephen Bennett to host his Biggest Morning Tea, and BIG it was!
So good to see so many people come together to support the Cancer Council.
A huge thank to everyone involved in making this event such a success.
We’re proud to have been part of such a wonderful community gathering for such a worthy cause.

Thank you Tekoa, Rose Marie and Apaula for spending time with us today at QCWA Bundaberg.
We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the culture, traditions and beautiful spirit of Samoa through your stories and knowledge. Your passion and love for your heritage shone through and made for a truly engaging and memorable day.
Thank you for sharing a piece of Samoa with us and helping us gain a deeper appreciation of your culture. We are grateful for your time, warmth and generosity.

WOW what a meeting yesterday😍. Yesterday we had Corrie from the Bundaberg & District Neighbourhood Centre as our guests speaker, thanks Corrie we all learnt so much about all the amazing things our local neighbourhood centre has to offers our community, we are privileged to work with this amazing organisation.
We also had a belated volunteers week celebration, thanking our wonderful volunteers, thanks also to David Batt MP for our appreciation certificate's, they were a lovely surprise for our amazing volunteers 🎉🎉.

A huge congratulations to our President Lyn Rehbein, on being honoured with a Queensland Day Award!
This well-deserved recognition reflects Lyn's outstanding dedication, leadership and commitment to our branch and wider community. Her passion, hard work and positive attitude continues to inspire those around her.
Not only was Lyn recognised with a Queensland Day Award, she also took out the Queenslander Excellence Award in the volunteer category 👏. Well done Lyn, you deserve this recognition, our branch is about better place with you in it❤️😍🎉

Looking for a few simple ways to make everyday meals and snacks a little more nourishing? Start with small swaps that fit into real life

Try:
• Fruit juice or cordial → a piece of fruit
• Sugary cereal → porridge or wholegrain cereal
• Soft drinks → water or plain milk
• Potato chips → plain popcorn or wholemeal pita chips
• White bread → wholemeal or wholegrain bread
• Butter → mono- and polyunsaturated oils or margarine

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Small changes can build confidence in the kitchen and support healthier habits over time.

Which swap could you try this week?
