If you stroll the beach, take a small bag with you and check areas where seaweed gathers. Unfortunately a lot of plastic bags and fragments gather there. Again yesterday, another full bag of plastic and bits of rope. Main culprits are fishermen who leave bait packets behind.

The storms have removed sand revealing litter in the rocks. Fisherman are the main culprits. Plastic bait packets, sections of rope, fishing line and food packets abound. When walking, look at sections where the ocean can ingress further and look for small plastic items trapped in the seaweed. I packed a bread bag full of plastic bits on a short walk along the beach.

No takers for the cleanup today so I moved instead to the foreshore. Having had that strong wind, and the sand removed, there was a little of rubbish revealed. Dude from the Mantra to the picnic area just along the beach.

If anyone turned up and I didn't see you let me know

Today we collected two large bags of litter from the area. My thanks to Lauren who joined me. A dramatic difference before and after litter clean-up. That's kilos of rubbish that may have otherwise ended up in our waterways.

A big job was done today cleaning out the litter from the vegetation that supports the dunes, and as usual, the beach, paths, and picnic area on the back beach. My thanks to those who joined in; Mathew and Marie. We collected just over 9kg of rubbish.

Solo effort today at the skate Park. I filled a bread. Bag and half a shopping bag. It needed more done but after 90 minutes I called it a day. But you dont need to be on an organised day. If you pick up just one piece of rubbish as you walk the street, that's one piece that doesn't end up in a drain and eventually in our waterways.

None registered for today so solo work. I appreciate this is a busy time of year. So I contained myself to a smaller area. The litter was profuse.
