Open to all university and TAFE students currently studying environmental science, conservation, or similar courses. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills and gain on ground experience in the field of conservation and land management.

Local volunteers from North Swan Landcare and the Bullsbrook Men’s Shed are working with local landowners to build and install owl nesting boxes to support the decline of both local owl species.

💚 Want to help? I have a donation box in my office and am calling on our community to donate old hardware and broom handles.

Wednesday, March 25, 10am @ Bullsbrook Library. 🦉📚😍

Everyone is welcome to join in our super special storytime event at Bullsbrook Library storytime zone on WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH 10AM.

We have a special storytime reader and some very special friends joining in the story and activities.

No need to book, just turn up. All inclusive, but the story is especially for 8 years and under age group.

This special event is provided by your local volunteers from North Swan Landcare and supported by City of Swan .

📢 Call out for Donations for our Owls!

💚 🦉 North Swan Landcare Group, Bullsbrook Community Men's Shed and local land owners are making nesting boxes to help our local owls deal with their housing crisis! 🦉💚

Many community members have asked how they can help even if they don’t live on a property suitable for installing a nest box.
So we’ve come up with a creative solution: donating repurposed “furniture” items that can be used in the box construction.
Each box requires things like:
50mm - 60mm latch bolts,
50 - 60mm butt hinges,
metal handles,
hardwood (Jarrah or similar) pieces around 18mm thick,
old wooden broom handles,
mini orb sheets,
flat colourbond sheets,
metal L-shaped 20mm shelf brackets.

We would like to encouraging people to rummage through their sheds and donate useful items that might otherwise go unused, pretty please. 👀👀👀

We will be at Paws in the Park on Friday March 20 with a donation box. 🗳
