Today we held a memorial service for the late Mr John Lohan, a NPWS employee, firefighter, father, brother and friend to many who tragically died during the Bulahdelah fire in Dec 25. With a large attendance from NSWRFS, NPWS, friends and family we were honoured to unveil a forever memorial in tribute of John at our station. Many stories were shared of what a wonderful man John was. Laughs were shared and a few tears shed as all remembered him. Thank you for your service John, you will never be forgotten.

For many years we have had a beautiful working relationship with Bulahdelah Central School with the NSWRFS Cadets program among other things. Today BCS and the students of the 2026 Construction Class donated 2 beautiful hand constructed outdoor tables and chairs to the Brigade. We are very thankful for such an amazing donation. Not only is our facility our fire station but it is also one of our Mid Coast District training centres. These tables will be very beneficial for our Brigade and the Brigades within the Mid Coast District. Thank you so much BCS and to the students and teachers involved in the construction we thank you all.
