Seeing the smiles and connections our therapy dogs create during each visit is what it's all about. It's always a pleasure spending time with the residents, and hearing that they continue talking about the visits afterwards makes it even more special.

🐾 Thank you, Germanus Kent House, for another wonderful visit! 🐾

Paddy and Alan were delighted to spend time with the residents, catching up with familiar friends and making a few new ones along the way. 💛

There were plenty of smiles, stories, pats and special moments shared throughout the visit. Judging by Paddy's happy face, he certainly enjoyed soaking up all the attention! 🐶

We're so grateful for the warm welcome we receive each time we visit and look forward to many more meaningful moments together in the future. 😊🐾

And after months of planning, our very first Broome Therapy Dogs 2026 Fundraiser Raffle was drawn on Sunday, 7 June 2026, at Divers Tavern in Cable Beach.

The raffle raised a total $10,370.72, which has transferred to our beneficiaries on 12 June 2026, to be put to good use for the benefit of the Broome community. We will be liaising with them as to the best use of these funds, and will update you further in due course. As a newly established organisation in our first six months of operation, we are so grateful for the support we have received from the Broome community. While we would, of course, have loved to raise more, we are ultimately pleased with the outcome achieved and grateful that we are able to provide meaningful support to four local charities.

Thanks again to our sponsors who have made this possible, and to Divers Tavern as a sponsor and as our host for the draw event. The vast majority of sponsors and others associated with the raffle and draw event have advised that they would be happy to be contacted about similar events in the future, so I think we now have a great base on which to build.

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, came to the event or supported us in some way. We really appreciate your support.

🐾 We had a blast visiting the DFES YES Cadets the other day! 🐾

There were plenty of smiles, pats and cuddles to go around as our therapy dogs spent time with this fantastic group of young people. ❤️

A big thank you to the Youth in Emergency Services Cadets, Western Australia for welcoming us along and getting involved. It's always wonderful to see the positive connections that can happen when therapy dogs and young people come together.

We're already looking forward to the next visit! 🐶✨

Hi followers,

We hope you have enjoyed watching our progress at BTD - so much achieved this year already, some great feedback, and lots of exciting things in the works.

While “on duty”, we estimate that our dogs, Paddy and Molly have shared their unconditional love with well over 150 Broome residents from a wide range of sectors, including:

- Aged care
- Teenagers
- Children/parents where the children have additional needs/challenges
- NDIS providers
- Workplaces
- Private clients (adults, children)

And we have discussions underway with plenty more - early learning centres, women’s’ refuges, adult student groups, parent support groups, more workplaces just to name but a few

As you would no doubt have seen, we are also currently running a raffle to raise much needed funds for four worthy local charities improving the welfare of children, women, men and animals in Broome.

We need a favour from you as our valued followers…. We need you to help us out a bit to make this raffle the success we hope it can be…

What we would love you to do in these final stages - as often as you can:
