The primary aim of the Broome Sports Association is to organise the annual Broome Sports Awards, which honours Broome's Sports Star of the Year, Rising Sports Star of the Year, as well as coaches, officials, and essential volunteers in the local sporting community. The committee meets 6-8 times per year, primarily once a month leading up to the Broome Sports Awards.
BSA President - is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the association. The president also sets the agenda, facilitates discussion, and guides the committee in making decisions that align with the organisation’s objectives. Additionally, the president represents the group in formal settings and acts as a key point of contact for members and stakeholders.
BSA Vice President - supports the president by assisting with leadership duties and stepping in when the president is unavailable. The vice president often helps coordinate projects, and ensures continuity in the association’s work.
BSA Secretary- is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all meetings, including minutes and attendance. They manage correspondence, distribute agendas and notices, and ensure that important documents are properly filed and accessible. The secretary also assists with organising meetings and supports the president and committee in administrative tasks to keep the association running smoothly.
BSA Treasurer- is responsible for managing the association’s finances, including preparing budgets, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing income and expenditure. The treasurer also ensures compliance with relevant regulations, provides financial reports to the committee, and assists with fundraising activities and grant applications.
