Successful Inaugural Networking Event – SBAQ

A sincere thank you to all the Sri Lankan business owners and professionals who participated in the inaugural networking event of the Sri Lankan Business Association Queensland (SBAQ) held on 12 March at Mansfield Tavern.

The aim of this first gathering was to introduce SBAQ to the Sri Lankan business community in Queensland, explain the organisation’s objectives, share membership benefits, and also receive valuable suggestions from Sri Lankan businesses in the state.

The evening provided a great opportunity for participants to network, introduce their businesses, and connect with other entrepreneurs and professionals within the community.

The next SBAQ networking event is planned for May 2026, which will include guest speakers and interactive Q&A sessions on important business topics.

Sri-Lankan Business Association Queensland (SBAQ) – Officially Established 🇱🇰🤝🇦🇺

We are pleased to share that the first meeting of the Sri-Lankan Business Association Queensland (SBAQ) was successfully held, marking an important milestone in bringing Sri Lankan entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners in Queensland together under one unified platform.

SBAQ has been established as a not-for-profit business association with the purpose of supporting, representing, and advancing Sri Lankan businesses through trusted connections, knowledge sharing, and practical collaboration.

During the meeting, members agreed on the key objectives of SBAQ, including:

• Uniting Sri Lankan businesses in Queensland under a recognised association
• Sharing practical business knowledge and real-world experience
• Creating employment pathways within the Sri Lankan business community
• Building a trusted platform for job seekers and employers
• Supporting business growth, professionalism, and higher-value service delivery
• Developing a verified Sri-Lankan Business Directory in Queensland
• Promoting ethical conduct and professional standards

We warmly welcome all Sri Lankan business owners, entrepreneurs, and professional service providers in Queensland to join SBAQ and be part of this growing network.
