A nice little story to end the rally posts with. One of the buddy groups was stopped after a water crossing between Karumba and Chillagoe, when this little puppy wandered out of the bush. She was exhausted, very thin, and covered in ticks. The water crossing was 100 km+ from the nearest town, and 40km+ from the nearest station dwelling.
The only cogent explanation is that she was dumped.
One of the teams in that group picked her up, and took her onto Chillagoe where medical treatment was administered. This team will be keeping her, and have named her Chilli.

We made it!
Just over 4000kms from Mildura to Townsville in a $900 Ford Mondeo! Thank you to the communities in Cobar, Charleville, Longreach, McKinlay, Karumba and Chillagoe that welcomed and fed 550 odd sh*tboxers and support crew at our overnight stops, and of course the Sh*tbox Rally team for organising everything and providing top notch support along the way.
Thank you to all the friends, family and colleagues that donated to Cancer Council Australia in support of our team fundraiser, and a special thank you to AMX Superstores and Stonecare Co. for sponsoring our car.
Today, the Festering Ford goes off for auction, with all proceeds going to Cancer Council. We may be back for another rally, it it will be in a new car.
