“I feel so much like an alien… people don’t often understand me because they can’t relate.” 💔
When you are the anchor for a child or young person experiencing complex mental health crisis, the rest of the world can feel very distant. The school gate chats don't fit your reality. The standard parenting handbooks don't work and conflicting advice feels overwhelming.
You are running on empty, yet you are constantly told to 'look after yourself'.
Our Resourcing Your Journey workshop isn't a clinical lecture or a list of extra to-dos. It is a 100% peer-led space where you can finally stop pretending to hold it all together, sharing with people who live your reality every single day.

‘I was convinced that my child was the only one...’
When you are navigating complex youth mental health challenges at home, it can be very isolating. The maze of the system, judgment from others, and the exhausting daily routine can make you feel like you are on an island entirely by yourself...but you aren’t.

Hearing another family say “I get it” doesn’t change the diagnosis, but it completely changes the weight you have to carry. It creates space to breathe.

Our Resilience in Reach workshop series - available online, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gladstone and Rockhampton - are 100% peer-led. There are no clinical lectures or lists of extra chores - just a safe, lived-experience room built for connection, real-world burnout tips, and community.

If you are always the anchor for everyone else, let us hold a space for you to rest.

Free Support Group Workshop for Parents and Carers

29/05/2026

Have you ever had to hear something like this from a well-meaning family member who doesn't understand your reality?

As a parent or carer supporting a young person with complex mental health, dealing with old-fashioned stigma within your own family structure can be incredibly destructive. We discussed this at our recent Online Peer Network with wonderful guest speaker, Holly Hoskisson from Arafmi, and how it forces you to shy away, mask your reality, and isolates you from the very people who are meant to offer unconditional love and support.
How can you comfortably leave your child with their grandparents when their solution is simply ‘more smacks’?
You don’t have to stay isolated in this dynamic. In our Resilience in Reach workshops and Online Peer Network, you don’t have to explain yourself, hide your struggles, or justify your parenting. We are a 100% peer-guided space made up of parents, carers, family and kin who understand the complex reality of child and youth mental health.

Join our upcoming sessions to connect, share, and find your tribe.

🔗 Break the isolation: You are not alone in this journey. Tap the link in our bio to grab your free ticket today.

(Ps. Your privacy and comfort are our priority! 🤫 We never share sensitive info or record our participant workshops without explicit permission. This snippet is from the guest speaker presentation featuring only our facilitator, Karen, and Holly).
