Zonta Club of Brisbane Breakfast Welcome to the page of the Zonta Brisbane Breakfast Club!

We are part of Zonta International, a service organisation of executive and professional women who volunteer their time to improve the lives and status of girls and women everywhere. Zonta is an organisation of 33,000 executives in business and the professions around the world providing service and advocacy through projects to improve the health, education, economic and political status of women a

nd girls. The Zonta Club of Brisbane Breakfast meets over breakfast on the first Friday of each month excluding January) at the Brisbane Club. All members are actively involved in at least one committee and each committee aims to meet several times a year (if not monthly) to bring members together to discuss Club business and for fellowship. We are most commonly known for our involvement in the annual Birthing Kits Day – organised by our club and Brisbane South, this is the biggest event in our calendar, and we look forward to the amazing work and efforts put in by so many people every year for this worth cause.

Join us in saying NO to gender-based violence during the 16 days of activism.

We say NO to violence against women and girls. It demands the involvement of medical and psychological services, law enforcement and the justice system. The costs, emotional, social and economic, are borne not only by survivors but also by families, communities and entire nations.

Zonta International partners with the United Nations and other global organizations to address the root causes of violence, support survivor services and strengthen prevention and justice systems. From funding international service projects to advancing advocacy at the local level, Zontians work to end gender-based violence and reduce its far-reaching impact on society.

Zontians around the world are united as we say NO to violence against women.

Join us for 16 days of activism between now and 10 December, as we advocate to end gender-based violence.

We say NO to violence against women and girls because children who witness or experience gender-based violence are more likely to experience or perpetrate it as adults. This devastating cycle of violence repeats itself, seeping into the fabric of future families and communities.

As part of the to Violence Against Women campaign, Zontians around the world are taking action, raising awareness, supporting survivors and advocating for laws and policies that break this cycle once and for all. Join the movement to build a better world for women and girls.

We say NO to violence against women and girls because children who grow up in homes where a woman is abused are also victims of violence. Even when not physically harmed, they suffer psychological trauma that can lead to mental health struggles, substance abuse and difficulties forming healthy relationships later in life.

Join us between 25 November and 10 December for of Activism, a time to stand together, speak out and work toward a future where every woman and child can live free from fear and harm.
