πŸŒŠπŸ’™ WORLD OCEANS DAY 2026 β€” REIMAGINE OUR BLUE PLANET πŸ’™πŸŒŠ

The ocean covers more than 70% of Earth, produces at least 50% of the oxygen we breathe, supports most of the planet's biodiversity, and helps regulate our climate. It truly is the life-support system of our world. πŸŒπŸ‹πŸ

Yet our oceans face growing threats from pollution, habitat destruction, overfishing, and climate change. Healthy oceans are essential for healthy wildlife, healthy ecosystems, and a healthy future. πŸͺΈπŸ’⚠️

This year's World Oceans Day theme, "Reimagine", encourages us to rethink our relationship with the ocean and become active guardians of its future. πŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸŒŠ

Remember, whatever we do on the land eventually ends up in our waterways and oceans. By reducing waste, choosing sustainable products, protecting native habitats, and caring for our local environment, we can all play a part in protecting our blue planet. πŸŒ±πŸŒπŸ’§

🌿 Take action today. Reduce pollution, support conservation, and help create a healthier future for our oceans, wildlife, and generations to come. πŸŒŠπŸ‹πŸ’š

🌿✨ 10 YEARS OF FLORA 4 FAUNA – AUSTRALIA! ✨🌿

2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of the inception of Flora 4 Fauna – Australia. What began as a vision to reconnect people with Australia's unique native flora and fauna has grown into a momentum of learning, conservation, biodiversity, and community. πŸŒπŸ’šπŸ¨

Yet the roots of Flora 4 Fauna run far deeper than most would expect. They can be traced back through decades of experiences, observations, stories, art, culture, mentors, landscapes, and countless encounters with nature across Australia. πŸŒΏπŸ¦‹πŸ¦

Flora 4 Fauna is the ripened fruit from a tree of knowledge gathering, curiosity, and a growing understanding that people, plants, wildlife, and the environment are all interconnected. Every native plant grown, every habitat restored, every tour, talk, consultation, and conversation has been part of that ongoing journey. 🌱🌳✨

Over the past ten years, we have been privileged to help thousands of people discover native Australian bushfoods, create wildlife-friendly gardens, support biodiversity, explore remarkable landscapes, and deepen their connection with the natural world. πŸπŸ“πŸ¦˜

As we celebrate this milestone, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported Flora 4 Fauna – Australia along the way. Whether you've attended a walk, talk, eco tour, consultation, purchased native plants, volunteered, or simply shared our passion for Australia's natural heritage, you have helped make this journey possible. πŸ’šπŸŒπŸ™

Looking ahead, we are excited for another decade of learning, increased understanding, exploration, and discovery within the incredible world of native Australian plants, wildlife, ecosystems, and the people who care for them. 🌿🐨🦜

🌿🐦 FROM TALK TO ACTION β€” BIODIVERSITY IN THE MAKING! πŸ¦‹πŸ

We had a fantastic day visiting a new client's property on the Darling Downs to undertake a Bushfood & Biodiversity Consultation. It's incredibly rewarding to see people attend our public talks, become inspired, and then put what they've learned into practice on their own properties. 🌿✨

Together, we're designing a landscape that will provide habitat, food, and shelter for birds, bees, butterflies, pollinators, and other wildlife, while also incorporating native Australian bushfoods for people to enjoy. πŸ¦πŸπŸ¦‹πŸ“

Exciting times ahead, and we can't wait to see the finished project come to life. Birds, bees, butterflies, and bushfoods working together to create a true wonder of nature! πŸŒπŸ’šπŸŒΏ

🌿🏫 THANK YOU WITHCOTT STATE SCHOOL! 🏫🌿

A big thank you to John Rafter and everyone at Withcott State School for inviting Flora 4 Fauna – Australia to undertake a Bushfood & Biodiversity Consultation for their proposed school bushfood garden. 🌱🌏🐦

It's exciting to see schools creating opportunities for students, teachers, and families to connect with native Australian plants, Indigenous knowledge, bushfoods, biodiversity, and the natural environment. πŸŒΏπŸ“πŸ¦‹

The proposed garden has the potential to become a fantastic outdoor learning space where students can discover native bushfoods, support local wildlife, and gain a greater appreciation for Australia's unique flora and fauna. 🐝🐨🌳

We're looking forward to watching this wonderful project develop and seeing the benefits it brings to the school community for years to come. πŸ’šπŸŒβœ¨

πŸ¨πŸš‘ HELP OUR LOCAL WILDLIFE HEROES THIS EOFY! πŸ’šπŸŒ

Every day, dedicated wildlife carers are rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for Australia's injured, orphaned, and displaced native animals. At the Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation and Education Association (WRREA), around 90 animals are in care on any given day, while volunteers travel more than 41,000 kilometres each year to rescue wildlife in need. πŸš—πŸ¦˜πŸ¨

From koalas, platypus, echidnas, bats, birds of prey, and many other native species, to community education and conservation programs, this vital work depends heavily on volunteers, donations, and community support. πŸŒΏπŸ¦‰πŸ¦‡

With around 234 koala browse collection trips undertaken each yearβ€”often taking seven hours per tripβ€”the ongoing costs of fuel, animal food, medical supplies, transport, and specialised care quickly add up. These dedicated carers give countless hours to ensure Australia's wildlife has a second chance. ❀️🐾

At Flora 4 Fauna – Australia, we are encouraging everyone to help this hardworking local organisation continue its important work rescuing, rehabilitating, and educating the community about our beleaguered native Australian wildlife. πŸŒπŸ’šπŸ¨

As we approach the End of Financial Year, please consider reducing your taxable income while supporting a truly worthwhile cause by making a tax-deductible donation to WRREA. The organisation is an ACNC-registered charity and donations are tax deductible. Details on how to donate can be found on their website. πŸ’°πŸŒΏβœ¨

🌿🐨 HELP GROW THE FUTURE FOR KOALAS, BLACK COCKATOOS & WILDLIFE! 🐨🦜🌿

Flora 4 Fauna – Australia is proud to be collaborating with Millmerran Landcare to establish koala food tree plantations and biodiversity plantings across Southern and South East Queensland. These plantings will provide a sustainable source of browse for wildlife carers while restoring vital habitat for native wildlife. πŸŒ³πŸ’šπŸ¨

The project will support koalas, black cockatoos, gliders, native bees, butterflies, pollinators, and many other species by providing food, shelter, nesting sites, and wildlife corridors. πŸ¦œπŸ¦‹πŸπŸ¦”

By planting a diverse range of local native species, we're helping restore biodiversity, reconnect fragmented habitats, improve soil health, reduce erosion, increase carbon storage, and build resilience to our changing climate. πŸŒ±πŸŒπŸ’§

This is Bioscaping 4 Biodiversity in action β€” creating healthier landscapes for wildlife, people, and future generations. πŸŒΏπŸ¦‹πŸ¨

πŸ’° Donations to Millmerran Landcare are tax deductible and may help reduce your taxable income while supporting habitat restoration, wildlife conservation, and environmental stewardship projects. πŸ“‹πŸ’šπŸŒ

🌱 Every donation helps grow koala food trees, restore wildlife habitat, support threatened species, offset emissions, and strengthen local ecosystems. 🌳🐨🦜

⏳ Make the most of the End of Financial Year and invest in something that benefits our wildlife, environment, communities, future generations, and potentially your own tax position too. πŸ’šπŸŒπŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

πŸ‘‰ Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today and help create a greener, healthier, and more wildlife-friendly future.

🚨🐨 WILDLIFE CARERS NEED YOUR HELP! 🐨🚨

Every day, dedicated wildlife carers are rescuing injured, orphaned, and endangered native animals β€” often at their own expense. πŸ’”πŸ¦˜πŸ¦

For some carers, a single rescue can mean hours of driving, while caring for endangered species like koalas requires specialised permits, equipment, and regular trips to collect fresh browse. πŸš—β›½πŸŒΏ

While grants may fund buildings and infrastructure, what many carers desperately need is help with the everyday costs that keep wildlife rescue operating:

βœ… Fuel for rescues and wildlife transport

βœ… Vehicle maintenance and running costs

βœ… Animal food and care supplies

βœ… Volunteer support

βœ… Access to suitable wildlife habitat and browse trees πŸŒπŸ’š

🏒 Corporate Sponsors β€” Help make a real difference through sponsorship, donations, employee volunteer programs, or environmental offset initiatives.

πŸͺ Small Businesses β€” Sponsor a rescue run, donate products or services, or support local wildlife care in your community.

🚜 Landowners β€” Provide access to koala browse trees, wildlife habitat, revegetation opportunities, or volunteer assistance.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ General Public β€” Every donation, volunteer hour, and act of support helps save native wildlife.

🌱 By supporting wildlife carers, you're not only helping Australia's unique fauna β€” you're also helping create healthier ecosystems, increasing biodiversity, and contributing to a greener Australia for future generations. πŸŒπŸ¦‹πŸ
