Pei and Pals Animal Rescue Inc. is a team of like-minded, dedicated volunteer animal lovers who are totally committed to giving dogs a second chance at life.

Whilst we take in all breeds, supporting the Shar Pei breed in particular -
Pounds to Paradise To rescue, rehome and if possible rehabilitate pound/shelter or surrendered animals from the general public. To place these animals into suitable foster carers homes until a “forever home” (adoption) is found. To foster relationships between other community and N-F-P organisations for example the elderly

/infirmed and/or returned or ex-service personal to facilitate the rehoming of the animals
Adoptions will be facilitated by an application process with the applicable adoption fee payable to PPAR. This fee is to cover medical, marketing, administration and transportation costs of the animal. All animals will be desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and a vet exam completed. Only other immediately necessary medications and/or medical procedures deemed by the vet so the animal is able to be rehomed will be completed. We rely on volunteers and supporters to assist us in rescuing and rehoming of homeless/abandoned animals. We receive NO FUNDING other than our own fundraising efforts, donations and adoption fees.

🆘 This is our second plea for Symba - we only have until TUESDAY to save him🆘

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED — BRISBANE 🚨

Meet Symba, a sweet 2-year-old Shar Pei who has been waiting for his owner to come for him… but sadly, they haven’t arrived. 💔

Now time is critical, and Symba urgently needs a foster home.

🐾 2 years old
🐾 A little head shy, so older children or a child-free home would suit him best
🐾 Prefers female dogs, or he’d be happy as your only dog

A Foster Carer provides a temporary home until PPAR can find a forever home. We pay for the dog’s vet work, ongoing flea treatment and can even provide food.

A little update in Stitch (aka Nugget) who happen to land himself in a pretty awesome forever home 🧡

Not sure if everyone knows but Stitch (aka Nugget) has found his forever home. ( Yes a foster fail).

Thank you to Lorraine and Kimberley for all your hard work and dedication. And everyone else behind the scenes and of course, all of us who give these animals a second chance.

Looking forward to the future and helping other dogs when we can.

🆘Help Us Protect 10 Vulnerable Dogs🆘

Sometimes, the most important rescue stories are the ones that cannot be fully told.

Ten dogs have been given an opportunity for a new beginning, but because of safety concerns surrounding their previous circumstances, we must keep details strictly confidential. This means we cannot discuss their location, share identifying information, or reveal where they are being cared for.

What matters most is that they are now on a path towards safety.

Over the coming weeks and months, these dogs will require transportation, veterinary treatment, desexing, ongoing healthcare, and specialised surgeries for some medical conditions. The road ahead is long, but it is one worth travelling.

We are asking animal lovers to help us provide the care these dogs desperately need. Every donation, sharing of this appeal, and message of support helps us give these dogs a chance at the happy, secure lives they deserve.

💙 MEET DIOR 💙

This is a sad story, and our hearts break for this beautiful boy.

Meet Dior, a gorgeous boy of around 3 years old who sadly belonged to an elderly gentleman who can no longer afford to keep him. He was faced with the incredibly painful decision to surrender Dior to the pound, desperately hoping someone would be able to help his beloved boy. 💔

Dior has clearly been loved. He loves people and has been fine with the other dogs he has met at the pound.

His skin is definitely in need of some much-needed care, and we suspect he may also need entropion surgery. We know there will likely be veterinary costs ahead, but we desperately want to give this boy the chance he deserves.

📍 Dior is currently in a pound in Southern NSW.

We are looking for a foster carer or foster-to-adopt home in NSW, SE Queensland or Melbourne. Transport can be arranged for the right placement.

Please, can we help Dior?

This poor boy has already lost the home and person he knew and loved. He shouldn't have to lose his chance at a happy future too. 💙

After a big afternoon playing with his new mate and the fox terrier next door, these two were absolutely done. 😂

So lovely seeing Yogi this happy, settled and content already. 🐾

Briar spends her days playing with the kids, making friends, throwing her own toys, going for walks and trying to invite herself on every car ride… 😂❤️

So when this busy girl finally runs out of steam, there’s only one place she wants to be — snuggled up on her person, snoring away. 🐾💤

Briar doesn’t just want a family to live with. She wants a family to do life with. ❤️
