The Athiei Foundation is dedicated to honouring and preserving the legacy of Athiei Beny Aterdit Bol who suddenly passed away in a classroom of a prestigious private boarding school in Kampala, Uganda on December 10, 2020 aged 13 and a half while a candidate for Uganda National Examination Board for Ugandan Primary Leaving Certificate. She was an environmental, climate change, peace and education’

s campaigner whose poetry on environmental protection was selected the best in the school and was displayed with her photo on the school’s wall. Athiei was an extremely ambitious girl who wanted to become a medical doctor or a lawyer to lift people out of poverty, conflict and under development in Africa.
