The Adsy Effect is an annual gala dinner in honour of Adam Howarth, a very special friend who took his own life. One in five Australians are affected by mental illness each year and at least six of these take their own life every day. This distressing statistic inspires us to create awareness of this taboo subject and break down the stigma associated with mental health. We aim to educate, inspire

and promote positive messages around open communication, encouraging people to speak out if they aren't ok, and becoming more aware of friends and family who may not be. Together we can encourage society to change its perception on mental health in the hope to save even just one precious life. Each year, we partner with a charity and together raise much needed funds & awareness for this important cause.

Hi All, Due to time restrictions and a few key people not around this year, we have decided to do the "Walk For Awareness" this year as our support function for raising awareness for su***de prevention and mental health.

I have formed a team under "The Adsy Effect" name and would love you to joint me or support us with this event.
