Thank you for joining our Brisbane 2032 Yarning Circle!
What a morning!
A huge thank you to all the Indigenous businesses who joined us today, both in person and online, for our Brisbane 2032 Yarning Circle.
Today was about bringing our businesses closer to the conversations, organisations and opportunities shaping the road to Brisbane 2032, asking questions, hearing directly from those involved and, importantly, understanding what businesses can be doing now to prepare.
We extend our sincere thanks to our speakers and panellists for sharing their time, knowledge and perspectives:
🔹 Robert McRuvie – Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee
🔹 Erin Hatton – Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee
🔹 Jatin Patel – Industry Capability Network (ICN), Brisbane 2032
🔹 Francis (Frank) Dinneen – Department of Customer Service, Open Data and Small and Family Business
🔹 Aaron James – Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism
We'd also like to give a special thank you to , our event caterer, for keeping everyone well fed throughout the morning, and , our event livestream producer, for helping us bring the Yarning Circle to Indigenous businesses joining us online from across Queensland.
And, of course, thank you to every business that joined the yarn, asked questions and contributed to the conversation.
2032 may still feel a long way away, but the work and the opportunities start well before the Games begin.
QIBN will continue working to help Queensland Indigenous businesses understand what’s ahead, build their capability and connections, and be ready to make the most of the opportunities on the road to 2032.
