🏡 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱

Today we welcomed the QLD Minister for Local Govt, Water, Fire & Volunteers, Hon. Ann Leahy MP, State Member for Moggill Dr Christian Rowan MP and Pullenvale Ward’s Cr Greg Adermann to Brookfield Showgrounds to see some of the work made possible through the $150,000 Queensland Government grant.

We showed the Minister the new Annexe alongside the Apex Building, which already provides space for the children’s art display at the Show, as well as secure storage throughout the year.

We also walked through the improvements to the Show Office, including new decking and handrails, termite treatment and structural repairs.

It was a great chance to talk about what’s been achieved, the ongoing work involved in caring for these historic grounds, and opportunities to work together on future projects.

A huge amount of work happens behind the scenes to keep improving and maintaining the Showgrounds, and we’re incredibly grateful to our volunteers and the 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 for the time, effort and commitment they continue to put in to making these projects happen.

There’s always more to do, but it’s great to see these improvements taking shape for our community. 🌿
