ARIONA is an online magazine which aims to service the interests of Sri Lankan natives living as expatriates in Australia and across the globe. The event, ‘ÁRIONA –Experience the Vibrancy of Sri Lanka’, accommodates the greater Brisbane community in understanding true Sri Lankan identity through a colourful showcase of heritage and culture. The event will also help to consolidate efforts of reconciliation within the different ethnicities of Sri Lanka following the end of a civil war which ravaged the country for decades; ARIONA aims to promote values of harmony and peace throughout the event. ARIONA hopes to introduce people of non Sri Lankan backgrounds to the Sri Lankan story, cuisines, fashion and music. ARIONA aims to encourage the positive acceptance of people of Sri Lankan origin in wider communities. ARIONA, the event, is an opportunity to display the vibrancy and optimism encompassing the Sri Lankan culture, which is widely unfamiliar to the Brisbane community
