β¨How Speeches Are Meant to Sound - Masterclassβ¨
π Speechwriting for Spoken Word
Most speeches are written, then read aloud. That gap between writing and speaking is where many speeches fail.
This masterclass is about writing for the ear, not the page. It is grounded in real-world speechwriting and draws on techniques used at the highest levels of government and executive leadership.
πββοΈββ‘οΈShane will cover:
π How professional speechwriters structure speeches meant to be spoken, not read,
π Practical techniques to make speeches sound natural, confident, and clear when delivered,
π When and how AI can support speechwriting, and where it makes speeches worse,
π Lessons from political and executive speechwriting that apply directly to Toastmasters speeches.
This session is designed for anyone who wants their speeches to land more cleanly, sound more human, and reflect how communication works outside the club environment.
You will leave with concrete techniques you can apply immediately to prepared speeches, leadership messaging, and high-stakes presentations.
