Please support the work of Nourish Street Inc bringing food, health care, dignity, and a listening ear to hundreds people sleeping rough, including families and children, around Brisbane and Pine Rivers each night. We work and pray for a day when homeless services are no longer needed because everyone is housed.

This funny video has a serious message. We believe every person is made in God's image and deserves to be treated with respect. While it makes sense that people are looking for something (or someone) to blame for the cost of living crisis, the demonisation of migrants and even international students for political gain has no logical basis — it is ultimately fuelled by fear and racism. Australia has and will always be a multicultural society because we love and value people from all corners of the world. We thrive as a country and are the envy of others, because of the diversity of skills and cultures people naturally bring to Australia. Let's continue to build on this legacy and look for ways to unite together by celebrating our shared humanity and the wonderful God-given uniqueness of every person who have chosen to come and make a life here. We need eachother.

Thank you, The Rev'd Dr Ann Solari, for your faithful service to people sleeping rough, doing it tough, demonised by our systems, needing a community, and wanting to simply be treated like a human being made in the image of God. And also for taking the time to share your experience, knowledge and skills with the next generation of servant-hearted people, and encourage them to follow in your footsteps in some way. We will miss your presence in our midst and your gifts to the wider community.

"It was a privilege to join those who gathered this morning at St Francis Theological College for the signing of an agreement between the Wandiligong Indigenous Ministry Fund and Anglican Church Southern Queensland for the co-funding of the Program Director of Indigenous Theological Studies at the college.

This is a significant new position and we are delighted that the Revd Canon Dr Garry Deverell had been appointed the inaugural Program Director."
