🌿🦋 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐬

Last Friday, Our Prep and Grade 1 students enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀, where they became young explorers for the day, investigating the many plants and animals that call the gardens home.

The adventure began with a bus trip into the city, where students had the opportunity to practice using their GoCards and traveling together as a group. Throughout the gardens, students stopped at various checkpoints to observe, sketch, and record things they found interesting. Highlights included exploring the Bamboo Grove and feeling the joints of the towering bamboo stalks, spotting water dragons, dragonflies, and even a large eel in the ponds, and standing in awe beneath the giant Bunya and fig trees.

It was a joyful day filled with wonder, exploration, and learning, as our students continue to grow in their appreciation of God's beautiful creation. 🌱✨

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭

Dear brothers and sisters,

I greet you all with the blessings of the Feast of Pentecost.

Our Lord, having ascended into heaven and being seated at the right hand of the Father, does not leave his disciples or His church alone.

Instead, He sends us the Spirit of truth, peace, comfort, wisdom and faith. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and works through us to be the light to the world.

On this Feast of Pentecost, we pray that the Holy Spirit will soften our hardened hearts, imbue us with deep and sincere faith and fill us with the hope that he gave to the 12 as they ventured into the world to establish paradise on earth – the church.

Holy Spirit, come and dwell in us and cleanse us of all impurity and save our souls. Amen

𝐁𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 - 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

At St John of Kronstadt Academy, we are not simply building a school — we are helping form future generations grounded in wisdom, virtue and eloquence.

The goal for this year's Annual Fundraising Drive is $250,000 to help us meet our ongoing costs such as teacher salaries, rent and resources for our students.

And very soon we will be sharing a small glimpse into the future vision for the Academy, including early drafts of our future campus designed to serve students from Prep through to Year 12.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

We are grateful for the growing interest in St John of Kronstadt Academy and are pleased to share that our Preparatory class for 2027 is quickly filling.

2027 will be our first year offering Prep to Grade 6. Currently, 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 for our Prep class for 2027. Limited places are still available for Grades 1-6. Once classes are filled, new applicants will be placed on a wait list.

At the Academy, we seek to form the whole child through a classical Orthodox education grounded in wisdom, virtue, and eloquence. Our classrooms nurture curiosity, faith, discipline, and a genuine love of learning within a warm and supportive community.

On Thursday 21 May, the Academy celebrated the Feast of the Ascension by praying the Divine Liturgy with staff, students and families. We were blessed to have Deacon Jeremy join us for this festive occasion and it was a blessed time.

May our ascended Lord be a blessing to you all.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐱 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 | 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫

We are honoured to welcome 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝘆𝗱𝗮 as our international speaker for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘅 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. He is the founder of 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 and author of Scriptorium Writing, a writing curriculum rooted in the classical tradition and the progymnasmata.

With more than 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, administrator, school founder, curriculum writer, and consultant, Benjamin brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight into the formation of students through classical education.

Having taught across public, private, charter, and homeschool settings, his work has centred on cultivating curiosity, wisdom, beauty, and tradition in learning.

Benjamin holds a Master of Humanities from The University of Dallas and a Master of Theological Studies from the Antiochian House of Studies. His experience and vision have helped shape thoughtful and meaningful approaches to education for both teachers and families alike.

🏃‍♂️ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

On 5 May 2026, four of our students proudly represented 𝗦𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 at the District Cross Country Carnival held at Citipointe Christian College. We are incredibly proud of the performance throughout the day, especially in the warm conditions.

One of our students achieved an outstanding result by improving his 2km personal best by almost a full minute and placing 19th out of 56 runners. Throughout the carnival, our students demonstrated determination, resilience, and commitment toward one another, representing the Academy with great respect and character.

Running at this level requires patience, hard work, and courage, and our students truly embodied these qualities from start to finish. We are grateful for the training and guidance provided by our PE teacher, Mr Lampier, and the support and encouragement shown by our families and wider community, and we look forward to cheering on our students at future sporting events. 👏💙

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Our Academy community gathered for a special 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗴𝘆, giving thanks to God for the gift of our mothers who lovingly care for and nurture our children.

It was a beautiful and blessed morning, followed by a relaxed time together at the park where our mothers shared morning tea, conversation, and joyful fellowship. The warmth of the day reflected the love and gratitude we hold for the mothers in our community.

We thank all those who joined us for this special celebration. May God bless our mothers with strength, peace, and many years. 💐
