From 1 of our talented rallitives.

Well here it is, what you have all been waiting for… as KoKo Lisle puts it ‘my ode’ to KKR2024… is this my 🎤 drop moment….
You be the judge!

KKR24 is done and dusted the big news being the royal assention to the throne of Sir Peter and Lady Deb. Long live the King!

They strove and drove across our broad flat land in the most accurate way, their spirt and nous unmatched by any this day!
There was some turmoil caused by the Minions from Tumut, but even hiding from their tracking did not fool the establishment.
Sue and Wal had their day too, although being found so easy was very frustrating for those two.
The threat from Nook was taken out early, their plan came unstuck but neither were surly.
They had a Clout with another road user, thankfully Xplant was their benefactor and not the abuser.
Team Jimmy showed us all how a Mercs arse can shimmy, shake and sag, but its all firm and tight now so if you asked them they will tell you next year is in the bag.
We had 2 more Wagons join the fray, Bill and Bob were best at finding the way.
They quietly achieved what the T-Birds could not, but those ‘Birds had fun and gave as good as they got.
Short Fuse returned but is hard to know what to rhyme… the aesthics where missing but their wit hit the chime.
Under a full moon the Boppers tried to defend their title with a broke differential.
They soon found out that part is kind of essential.
In somewhat of a Colorful Commodore Convoy one cowboy stood head an shoulders above the rest! Don’t worry Richie won't fail breath test!
Llama made it through without a scratch or a ding, seems careful navigation is really a thing. Their times maybe floored, and its fair to say their driver was bored!
Pulsation set a mark that could not be beaten, the principal let them off with a warning on our beacon. They responded by showing their heart to all in town, followed by the echo of ‘JASON, SLOW DOWN’!
Belfrayden Bandits were keen on subtle sabotage, forcing teams out of position and past the repechage!
Wild Cats from Warby prowled in and left a scratch, like a nimble feline, they were bloody hard to catch!
Our favourite Subi’s returned for another year. Muz entertained with music and beer.
Shaggy and Scoob played the game once more, although what that game was nobody is sure.
Alspec and their fleet must be high in our praises. Although the krews of these cars are the cause of Albert’s angry gazes.
There is a wave building in Bathurst that may sweep all before it. With Rat surfing the tube, ‘lifesaver’ is a good fit!
Bluey was fixed after last year's early exit, but as with all these things its never as easy as ‘just fix it’.
From the heir to the spare Gravel Muncher knew the assignment, clear the field for Sir Peter and lead the charge home at the right moment.
The tea party was set out in Mungo, but when the tea towel waved… where did that V6 go!
Sisters act all as one, a complaint about them? There is absolutely nunn.
Of Doc and Don one was missing, filling the spot with Den made Doc wish he was fishing!
The Krew from Sunshine bought back old skip! They had new furry slippers to be used before a kip.
I’m not sure you should keep reading about failure, Wise beyond years and looking for a tailor.
A Banana for scale doesn’t make much sense, unless you’re a Viking that seeks recompense.
Rapid 1st Aid can fix a nick of a scratch,
Phil and ‘Not Les’ are quick with a patch.
Pictures are something we all like see, and the camera Krew made sure they were seen in the tree.
BFGT is something I learned from the Military, Big effing Green Truck is just what it means. You will thank these blokes to carry your spare pair of jeans!
Control Krews did their usual fantastic job, many short of a pen but never of a joke to make you sob!
I pity the fools that took on the Kruise, Lightning always steals all the views!
However this scribe is partial to 80s pop culture, so find more MFP victims to feed the vultures.
Chelsea strides on with the spirit of Amy, Kidney Kids have a great role model in her if you ask me.
Triple 8 was all sinister in black, but when the windows rolled down its only Kath and Ken smiling back!
Sections were a hot topic early on this year, straight on being words to bring a tear.
But this wasn’t the case for too long, RD showing us it was worth sticking it out to the final furlong.
Fed to the lions their good character began shine and I think here marks the end of my rhyme…
When all said and done and the cars are put away the kids are the winners at the end of the day!

Day 7: Echuca to Leeton (Via Tocomwal for Lunch)
The Lions club of Echuca kicked off the last morning with possibly the best Brekky of the trip. A quick walk around the Port of Echuca before setting off. No timed rally stages in the morning so we stopped in at The Depot Deniliquin. A great variety of cars and an even better hot choccy in the cafe👌🏻. Whilst in the cafe we got chatting to Cornfoot Bros Tractor Pulling Team and they kindly donated $200 to tbe Kidney Kar Rally. Thank you for for donation. Moving on from the Depot, it was time a for a rally stage and lunch at the Tocumwal Racecourse Men’s shed. Lunch finished and it was time to hit the tracks one last time with a massive 132km stage. Celebration drinks greeted us at the finish line. Dinner, final presentation at the Hydro Hotel Leeton and final goodbyes for another 12 months. A massive thanks to all that donated to the cause this year. In total, the KKR 2024 has raised over $465,000🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉. Keep an eye out for the new No Drama Llama chariot for 2025🦙🦙🦙🦙

Day 6: Horsham to Echuca (St Arnaud for lunch)
Another fresh morning along the Wimmera River. The “John Foggerty” had set in and caused a couple of missed street signs on the opening stages🙈. St Arnaud Raceway for lunch. Steak sanga’s melted in your mouth followed by fresh salad rolls and an abundance of cakes and slices by the Lions Club. A couple of rolling laps around the track and we headed off for the final stages. Greeted by the “ATeam van” at the finish line with the drinks and snacks……The kids got there before we did🦙🦙🦙🍷. Penultimate Dinner in Echuca before making our way to Leeton to wrap up another Kidney Kar Rally🤙🏼

Day 5: Hahndorf to Horsham (Keith for lunch)
Started the journey leaving Hahndorf on another fresh morning. Haven’t worn trackies since moving out of Antartica (Victoria)🥶🥶🥶. Another day, another ferry crossing. Cheered-up the ferryman with a little dedicated tune. Keith Showgrounds for lunch and a nice cruisey drive through to Horsham. Polar blast like breeze just crept up on us like librarian😝. Tomorrow sees the 🦙 make the journey from Horsham to Echuca via St Arnaud for lunch. 🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙

Day 3: Renmark to Hahndorf (Lunch @ Tununda Primary School)
Fresh start in Renmark outside of the Renmark Hotel. 🔨 only required twice today😝. We will look at changing the fuel pump over tomorrow on the lay day in Hahndorf….Before visiting a few wineries. Greeted by screaming kids at Tununda Primary school for lunch. Revving engines and stickers sent the kids into a new dimension. After lunch was a visit to the Nation Motor Museum. Amazing cars and great place to visit. Themed Dinner in Hahndorf tonight, rest day tomorrow (wine day😉🍷) then back on the road Thursday morning 🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙

Day 2: Mildura to Renmark (Mungo NP for lunch)
After last night troubles with the fuel pump, the car started first crack. No 🔨 required yet. Had a quick Brekky in the banks of the Murray and shot off to Bursons to chase a fuel pump. Success they had one. Jumped back in the car and jumped back out with the 🔨😝. One man job got her going and we set off for the day. Made the trip out to Mungo National Park with a lunch stop. After lunch we made our way out of Mungo NP towards Renmark. 3 states in 8 hours (Vic, NSW & SA). Surely that’s a record somewhere? 🤷‍♂️🤙🏼🦙🦙🦙🦙

Day 1: Deni to Mildura (Lunch @ Balranald)
Chilly morning greeted us in Deni at the caravan park that looked like something from “The Hills have eyes” movie. Fuelled-up and made our way to Brekky at the Deni RSL then set off for the days journey. A reverse lunch greeted us in Balranald Racecourse with amazing cakes, slices and scones followed by pumpkin soup and a bbq. Arrived at the finish line in one piece and headed off to the accomodation for the night…….The day didn’t end there🤦‍♂️. About to head out to din dins and the Llama had a drama. After a process of elimination the heavy hitters were called out. The fuel pump is on the way out. Will hopefully pick up in the morning but for now the old trusty 🔨 is getting the job done. Tune in tomorrow for an update…..🦙🦙🦙🦙
