Rotary Club of Bright's FY2026 change over has wrapped, marking the end of a wonderful year of service and the beginning of an exciting new one. The evening was capably MC'd by Secretary Al Poyner and brought together a fantastic turnout of community guests, including representatives from the Lions Club, the Bright Autumn Festival, the Bright Chamber of Commerce, the CFA and our Mayor, Sarah Nichols.
Club President Phil Keeghan reflected on the year, saying: "It has been a privilege to lead this Club through another year of meaningful projects and strong community partnerships. I'm proud of what we've achieved together and excited for what the incoming board will bring."
A new board was officially appointed for the year ahead, and we look forward to the energy and ideas they'll bring to our Club.
A special highlight of the evening was the awarding of a Paul Harris Fellowship to Leanne Poyner, recognised for her tireless work as Community Chair. Leanne has organised countless BBQs for the Club over the years and played a key role over three years in bringing the Bright Outdoor Gym to life. Congratulations Leanne, thoroughly well deserved!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a lovely dinner, good food and great fellowship as we celebrated another successful year for the Rotary Club of Bright. π₯π
